I seem to remember we asked them to give us a UI option to remove the Astral Shard counter from our main screen. We also asked them to move the Re-roll button to the top of the chest window so it was right out of the way of the loot all button. So now they've stacked it on top in a place that is arguably easier to misclick. If this was some Machiavellian ploy to make us think the previous location for the Reroll button wasn't so bad after all then it's worked.
Common sense would have said that it should be put in a place that it's impossible to misclick in response to the critics, like myself, who say it's a pointless and cheesy piece of garbage. Put it where it can't be accidentally clicked. Collect the metrics to determine over a 6 month period how often it's actually used and then review the whole thing and decide whether it is worth keeping.
Turbine's aim is clearly to give maximum opportunity to spend AS, and from their business case, that's entirely within their rights. To reroll junk for different junk I don't think is an effective way of getting people to deliberately spend AS. Move the reroll button where it can't be accidentally hit and then see who actually uses it.

They should add an option in UI settings to turn the bloody thing off altogether. That right Turbine, give us the ability to never see the irritating thing on our screens ever again. I will never use loot reroll so every time I open a chest I have to view this trash.
In fact I have hardly played at all since you introduced this thing as I find it so irritating. Its way up there with the appalling “ whack whack” melee hit sound you introduced some time ago again with no option to turn off either .
"Player testers have done an excelent job and I really do appreciate the testing done by the players that report the issues which then get ignored ......."
im really impressed.
They moved the button in a worse position ... lol ... this cant be a mistake or bad programming, its another (poor) moneygrab attempt.
Why dont you put that button high on the left? please... its not a button that we want to press often, maybe 0.5% of the chest we open? maybe less? so i cant understand why keep ppl angry for this little thing, expecially now that you added the confirmation alert.
Fix it, put above, far away of the Loot All button and no one will complain... you ll still get the shards when a ppl decide to reroll, no worries.
I am one of those guys who just blindly click loot all and then confirm if there is BTC or exclusive items. I'm sure there are plenty of other folks out there just like me. There was absolutely no reason to move the buttons AGAIN!!!

But Truth is eternal, so it can never be old or new. It never ‘was’ or ‘will be.’ It just ‘is.’ It always ‘is.’
Placing the re-roll loot button above the loot all button just makes it more obvious of their cash grab evil ways.
Since you need to confirm the reroll i find calling it a cashgrab incredibly silly. Now you have to mess up twice to "accidentally" spend the shards.
Dystopia = utopia achieved
People will get used to the button locations and all will be well, but for the next week or so, turbine is going to "accidently" get some shards back. The big give away will be if they move the reroll button again.
Dystopia = utopia achieved
The old saying goes.."fool me once shame on you...fool me twice shame on me." It won't happen a second time.
By the way, I'm not a complainer...check my post history, I have consistantly come down on the side of Turbine, and will continue to do so. This one is just too "In your face" to ignore..
