    Default *scratches head* and ponders...

I might be wrong; but Nightmare Fallen Moon is a bastard sword; but you took khopesh prof. feat?

Wrong weapon? Wrong feat? New change to the game I'm not thinking of?

Other than that; looks like fun is on your horizon...

Kensei Exotic Weapon Master adds Bastard Sword and Khopesh to Heavy Blades if you have the feats. For mobs that aren't affected by negative levels, you can use khopeshes instead.

I’m going to channel my inner Carpone and answer as he would:
“I’m building within the confines of DDO. Imperfection and disappointment abound.”
Things that if Turbine went all EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on, would actually make the game fun again.:
    • Giving us the racial PrE’s we were promised, before rolling out DDOStore™ Enhancement Trees.
    • Fixing physical defense for Rangers and Rogues. It’s ridiculous that you’re better off wearing Heavy Armor and ignoring your innate feats on these classes.
    • Cannith Crafting.
    • Update the named loot to put them on the same system.
    • Fixing the Cannith Challenges so that they can be 6 starred without incredible luck or store bought items.
    • Fixing all challenges to give us decent XP and ingredient returns for the unreasonable time we have to spend in most of them.

    Default yes but...

you have to have the bastard sword feat to not have a miss chance due to not being proficient. The Bastard Sword/Khopesh being adding in to Heavy blades only applies to your +1 to hit and damage. Thought you should know.

I need one more Nightmare and can TR into this. How does Whirlwind attack play out on a sword user?

Recntly I have been using enervation on my handwraps wiith a 5% proc chancee. Twisting in Malicious Weapons for 9% proc on grazing hits. Often getting 2-3 procs off Whirlwind.

    Cool

This build has the secondary benefit of automatically being awesome at one of the Abbot puzzles.

are you saying proc based suffixes and prefixes can come from glancing blows? I have been looking everywhere to confirm if proc based things like blood letter, double strike and deception can be triggered by the glancing blow special effects.

Not sure about the nightmare effect, but my TWF monk typically paralyses 2 or 3 members of a crowd in gianthold with paralysing handwraps on using a single cleave ... last I heard, THF feats improve the chances of procs on glancing blows, but I'm not in a position to verify that at the moment.

dang ok. it would just be really neat if you could proc mass deception, or get a double strike up with glancing blows without having to invest in double strike. I guess I'll keep looking. I made lamania account i don't know if they let you do full builds there though. I want to test glancing blows sicne you can get them so high could turn a 5% proc weapon into much more.

I messed around a bit on lamania with 21% glancing blow proc. cloudburst procced a ton so it seems it works on stuff like named weapons on alchemical weapons with special elemental mods like incineration etc. Couldn't get double strike to proc after doing 20k damage of hits with a level 4 helstroke great axe that had 3% double strike chance. Couldn't find a terror greatsword to test 5% deception. Tried some named weapons with critical effects didn't see any proc. Glancing blows don't look like they crit either. Constant damage effects like ability damage, 1-6 elemental damage etc seem to proc of of glancing blows.

I like Nightmare better on a S&B build and taking the THF line.

But great build for a single target wooness

I've been playing a ftr8/rang6/monk6 similar build. No pinion after 60 citw's so thinking of dropping 10kstars, zen, etc and focusing on melee and damage mitigation.

I DO have two nightmares. A lot of woo-woo but after an EE mob is slightly damage the woo's seem to lose all effectiveness. Much more enjoying alchem or drow khopesh main hand and off-hand nightmare for some woo's and empowering planar focus PRR/damage bonus.

Speaking of PRR. As long as you're centered and in earth stance, might as well use top ED twist for 15 more stacking PRR from Standing With Stone. (ED. Oh...listed in the PRR section).

There's nice avoidance and a little damage in tempest. Did you consider if Paladin 3 would be a better fit than ranger 3? Loss of defenses from tempest, loss of Bow Str if ever need to range, and needing a feat for TWF. But getting divine grace and some smiting action - though you might want more CHA - suck some dex into cha stat.

Also Ranger as level 1 class is a lot more skills than fighter. Get that 4 tumble, jump, etc ...

i played similar build for some time (i TRed recently for few more past lifes), also ftr8/mnk9/rng3, but with few differences it was made for a lot of fast attacks - 15% speed attack (without haste feat) and 40% doublestrike all the time on wind stance, another different thing are weapons one nightmare and first blood bastard (15% doublestrike). i didn't have time to farm commendations to upgrade my nightmare and my gear was a bit old, but it had great dps. i think i'll TR into it again after few lifes, but i'm a little affraid of nerfing nightmares. i'm affraid that deleveling mobs on every crit will share fate with early motu nightmares random loot - phantasmal killer on crit was changed to vorpal only. i'm almost sure that it will happen when we will all run with woo-woo sounds around us, it's almost OP for mobs and orange named bosses, sometimes their max hp can drop to 10% of their original hp.

TL;DR nice build, but i'm afraid of nerfing nightmares in near future

P.S. sry for bad english, i'm not native english user and i'm almost sleeping at my pc
