Will we get to hear the songs played? Is there a tune I should be humming while reading them? I enjoyed the one in this thread.

Hm, hadn't really thought of a tune for it yet, at least not one I could find. I'll have to do that for the next one! Glad you enjoyed it.

I tried playing Greensleeves on my guitar and singing it but I can't play Greensleeves. Actually, I can't really play my guitar either.

Wet, really wet. Thunderstorm rolled through this evening while I was supposed to be racing a sailboat. So no race and very wet.

Ah, but one tends to get wet on a sailboat even when its not stormy.
    At least I always did.

On at 25 foot keelboat in 10 knots of wind with very little chop, you would be doing something wrong if you got wet. Granted more wind and more chop and you should expect to get a bit damp.

Heya, Hazel. I see you started a rogue on Sarlona. How are ya liking it? My main is Lexey and she'll be coming back around to Korthos and the Harbor again really soon if you're in that range.

Edit: I forgot to get this thread back on topic... So yeah, about ghostbane...

To the OP: Glad you're having un with the game and learning things! Been my experience that the player base is very willing to help new players that come with questions, and are willing to listen to advice and suggestions.

    And to Lorianna...

They make every quest a true joy
    Whether it's tramping through sewers
Or looting raid chests for new toys

They sing of the fame and the prowess
Of the friends and companions about
With healing and buffing and support
    Even when completion's in doubt

It's true they may tease on occasion
About your foibles and failings and more
But that's only because you enjoy it
And if not, there's always d-door!

So heap all your praise 'pon the singers
We're always ready to hear our acclaim
Because without us, those stories about you?
Would be stilted, meandering and lame

So pick up your sword and your mage-staff
And delve into the quest as you should
We bards will be right there behind you
Doing our best to make you look good

heheheh dat was awesome!! Encore!! Encore, I say!!!
All that is wrong with DDO, life, taxes, poltics, religion, music, fast food, education, the criminal justice system, the weather, society, the universe, and previously-discontinued-but-now-on-their-way-back snack cakes, is all the fault of Wizards of the Coast. I know this because Fred told me so, and Mind Flayers are smart.

Alas, this group, its time has come
We have quested together so marvelously
And though we part, do not be glum
We each leveled two times, amazingly

    This pug was actually good
    This pug had no newbies
    This pug renewed my faith
That not all pugs fail spectacularly

And so I go to sell and train
Gaze cast behind me o' frequently
And tho' much monies I did gain
I yearn for the lost comradery

    That pug was actually good
    That pug had no newbies
    That pug renewed my faith
That not all such groups fail spectacularly

And thus I go to seek once more
When I've returned from feast and rest
To wade again into blood and gore
My hopes riding high upon my breast

Oh gods, this pug, it's terrible
Oh gods, this pug, they have no clue
Oh gods, this pug, it's unbearable
Four fallen, and they don't know what to do

And so I take my leave from you
I make an excuse and depart the group
But in my heart I still know what's true
That not all pugs are such a useless troup

I sit and gaze out o'er the moonlit bay
My lute resting 'cross my folded knee
Until I hear a familiar voice say
"Welcome back, friend, won't you join us again please?'

And thus I go to rejoin my friends
Who once were a pug that did so well
No longer a pug, and thus transcends
Into regular groupmates, and thus excels

    *puts her lute down*

I know as much about sailing as I do about leading a pug.
I can do it, but it's gonna be sloppy.

I heard ghostbane isn't just for ghosts anymore. It works on zombies too.

    Glad you're enjoying them.

I might make the bard song thread later today, and try to add a song or two per day to it, as long as people keep enjoying it. I'll have to see about setting them to actual music so people will know the tempo and such, too.

    They're fun!
