..... Grease in the Coalesce Chamber...
On a more serious note.... don't be afraid of PUGs... while not all random groups are easy to deal with... I have found some really great folks to invite to our family.
Git off mah lawn!
If, If's and But's was Candies and Nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.
I also love making new characters and gearing / leveling them to 20. I love doing raids, groups of 12 are double the fun. Since I only have one TR, I'm more into a good old dungeon crawl, stop and smell the roses ideally with a full party. I pretty much exclusively PUG, and solo when I need to but find soloing boring. The thing I find these days is that PUGs are way down, and the ones that are usually running are TR xp trains where generally everyone splits up and you'd better be self sufficient and not die. It's a different kind of challenge, and I get it from a TR point of view where it's all about XP per minute, but frankly for me it's just not as much 'fun'. Although it is great to hit new levels quickly and try out new gear/abilities, but in general I'm a crawler not a grinder...
I guess I should probably find a different game, but I'm still hooked on DDO after 4 years of rinse and repeat... It's really all about the PUGing. The quest may be the same as it ever was, but the group is different every time and that's what I find keeps it interesting. That and the lootz.... Although these days I'm not so sure about the loot... Oh look, another deadly accurate speedy helm of reposting ghostbane

Grease is fun!
I enjoy the company of other players, it's the reason I started playing DDO rather then just stick with single player console games.
Without the social aspect of the game, it's really not all that fun.
I found good friends and a good guild.
Now, whatever I do, it's fun.

The Leveller for DDO!
1) altoholism: 20 characters
2) flavor/cool builds: doing a 3 tukaw VOD with the original tukaw himself, swimming in lava with my homemade lavadiver build (75 fire resist pre-MotU), running around and amazing other people with my 16hp lvl 16 sorcerer, kicking monster butts with my juggernaut
3) trying new classes/prestiges/synergies: most recent was the triple +50% sneak speed Monk/Ranger/Rogue shadarkai, finally capping my barbarian after spending 6 months at lvl 12 and now dealing some insane damage
4) introducing acquaintances to DDO: teaching them the ropes, watching them become stronger and grow more interested in the game
5) pranking people: Grease
Most of the time I am busy leveling my toons. I only have one toon to TR often, the others I try to get lvl 28. But sometimes there is nothing more challenging and satisfying than succeeding EE quests/raids and tuning your toon so you contribute more (mitigating more damage, applying more damage, better cc, etc. ).

You do that to me more than once, and I'll report you for griefing. No lie.
Same goes for people that spam teleports at the end of a quest. If you cost me my loot at the end of a raid...not cool.
Someone actually tried that on me after a PITA CiTW.
I was able to realize what it was before I clicked on it. But I gave that supposedly "grown man" a piece of my mind.
