Default How do you make tables on these forums?

I'd like t make a proper table for a thread I'm working on but do not know how. It could really use a table of contents with multiple columns of info for each link. Does anyone know how to make one? I've seen someone post a table to the forums before so I know it's possible.

Thanks in advance, and apologies to the mods if this is in the wrong forum.

When you click the "Reply To Thread" button look for the icon directly beneath the icon for bolding text (B), click that and it will give the various options like so:

    test test 1
    test 3 test 4
    test 5 test 6

This is just a basic one so you can quote the reply and see the BBcode and edit yours accordingly etc. Very cool project I must say, I don't know how you guys find time to do stuff like that and level up all your toons! I struggle juggling 3 or 4 toons!

You can also use the th tag for your table headers.

    Sweet, thanks!

Is there any way to suppress the border lines, or at least change their color to black?

Also, is there any way to scrunch the table so that there isn't so much space between rows? This may go hand-in-hand with turning off the border lines.

EDIT: I can't see your code; when I hit quote it doesn't show me anything that's already in a quote box.

There you go, I don't think it is possible to change the colour of the lines to be honest

Using the table headers leaves a very thin black outline round them for me but that could be to do with using a stylesheet mod for the forums.

Y'know, you need to make a thread full of formatting tips/tricks.
If it makes me look more smarts, then I'm happy to learn :P

These forums could use a TeX environment as well for number crunching and mathematics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TeX . I'd love that

Sorry about that! I see it was already answered but I will put it here for completeness:

    [table="class: grid"]
    [tr]
    [th]Heading 1[/th]
    [th]Heading 2[/th]
    [/tr]
    [tr]
    [td]Data 1[/td]
    [td]Data 2[/td]
    [/tr]
    [/table]
    Heading 1 Heading 2
    Data 1 Data 2

BTW - Grid lines in the td tags are optional:

    [table]
    [tr]
    [th]Heading 1[/th]
    [th]Heading 2[/th]
    [/tr]
    [tr]
    [td]Data 1[/td]
    [td]Data 2[/td]
    [/tr]
    [/table]
    Heading 1 Heading 2
    Data 1 Data 2
