    Default EE Trap DCs

Anybody else having trouble finding traps with a non int based rogue? 70+ search but still can't find most boxes. I've even blown up a couple that I did manage to find.

    Maybe I'm just gimp?

The spellwards were ~88 in the new Shadowfell stuff, no idea on search as mine sucked and I couldn't find them. TRed though so wont be able to check anything else for a while, hopefully more people will chime in with numbers.

    70 is pretty low though.

    20 item
    5 enhancment item
    6 int skills item
    1 find traps scroll
    2 luck
    28 ranks
    4 gh
    66 before int

Shame we're moving back to having to swap a ton of items per trap again but I guess that's the price to pay for not having int or spending AP on trapping.

There's actually a pretty easy way around the ridiculous trap DC's, ineffective DC-based casting, and everything else that makes endgame a hot mess right now. I'll just keep TRing until I hit triple completionist sometime in the far distant future and ignore epics, for now. Unfortunately, that won't work for those that have already wrung every last bit of enjoyment they could out of the heroic levels, but for the rest of us...

Triple completionist is the furthest away from 'not playing' you can get.

for spell wards I don't even bother, just use dispel magic wands till it is gone.

Someone could completely dump int and just use items, with a small sacrifice of a level 1 twist. Dont want to use a twist to be able to find traps, dont dump int, heh.
Advocating repeated nerfs in the name of "balancing the game" then complaining about how DDO is moving away from D&D, is a direct contradiction in logic - D&D 3.5 (what DDO is based on) is not a balanced game. We can either have a balanced clone MMO with homogenized classes, or we can have a D&D game. We cant have both.

I was just getting ready to look at LR'ing my 9 monk/8 ranger/3 arti to fit in trapping...would have to give up 2 points of wisdom, 1 point of dex, and then sacrifice an extra level-up into dex to get my starting int to 14 both for having a better chance at finding the traps as well as providing the skill points to make it work. After reading this thread though I think I'll just go with the winning move.

Way to miss the point. Yes, triple completionist is "playing". However, it avoids playing an endgame in which, in it's current form, I am uninterested. I'm playing the game on my terms, not theirs. Whenever the game shifts and rules change, I adjust my methods to keep it fun for me.
