Exclamation Why this patch before the weekend?

I have posted and bug reported issues with the Chimera's Fang not working for Sentinel dragonmark builds--all the way back through alpha...was suppose to be fixed in Beta but was still Broke (AND STILL NOT IN THE KNOWN ISSUES or fixed).

Necromancers are getting death-warded and party nuked by epic light enhancements (AND STILL NOT IN THE KNOWN ISSUES or fixed). This death ward issue was fixed once before...and yet is broken again...I know you can change in and out of form to 'bypass' the issue but when you got NPC's death warding you too...that is a bit too much on the SP counter.

Raid counters are now completely FUBAR'ed as I have Heroic completions for CITW--I know this is in other threads....but as I'm on a roll atm....

The above is just a few of the issues I personally find annoying...as it shuts down a few of the toons I play because of failures to test the software properly.

The point being; rushing a patch into production before a holiday weekend is a BAD idea. Someone in QA really needs to spend some time evaluating what the roll of QA is suppose to be because what we got today was not worth 3 hours of downtime...and because of some of the new bugs being introduced I'd expect even more downtime tomorrow to try and fix the new bugs introduced today before the long weekend. This was not patch 1 but patch .1 Alpha.

BTW, I generally don't rant on these forums and have a great deal of respect for developers in general; but whomever made the call on this patch should be reviewing their resume....or at the very least offering an apology to the player base for this tripe.

Someone should have read why it was done today.

And the standard they should be fired from an arm chair coder...

Don't think they should be apologizing but maybe you should.

    We will wait.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

Well you made one big assumption within your comment. I've got a Masters in Computer Science and have worked in the field for over 25 years. My area of expertise is in Computer Security; requirements definition, overseeing implementation, testing, installation, as well as operations. In my background I've ran the gambit of end-user to Principle Systems Engineer. Now the systems I dealt with were not games; loss of functionality bugs reappearing from the past did not cause people to loose their life savings (at worst it would cost lives), and I stated in my previous message I don't generally rant in these forums.

Releasing untested or under-tested code into a commercial product tends to drive away customers and revenue; this can cost people jobs and eventual loss of the game entirely. I did not suggest firing coders but a review of the Quality Assurance process. Now the person who made the call to implement as-is might be a coder; but I doubt it....they should be looking over the resume because mistakes like that are not tolerated that well in the commercial sector (or any sector); and if it causes a significant enough impact someone will be held accountable--we the users are unlikely to hear about it here.

One aspect of my post that you skipped over entirely; is the 'known bugs'. This is why I addressed this to QA; the first two items in questions have been bugs in the past, have been in the known bug section in the past...yet they have failed to add them back to the list after multiple bug reports....

So the easy fix--without changing a single line of code--is to get the items back into the known issues page until it is fixed so players are not blindsided.

So before you ask why have I not applied for a job with Turbine question, and why did I put 'worked' in my opening paragraph; I am currently out on disability dealing with a myriad of health issues--from auto-immune to neurological....so I have a little more time on my hands right now to answer questions from my armchair when I'm not seeing one of a dozen specialists.
