    Default Update 19 User-Known Bugs/Unlisted Changes List

    I didn't see a compilation list anywhere, so figured I'd start one. Really wish the forum would email me when new replies are made to subscribed threads, but since that is still broken, this list won't be updated very fast.

    Update 19 User-Known Bugs/Changes not listed in the Release Notes
    • Abbot raid: ice islands formed by the Ice Ball Wands have no physics: you cannot stand on them, you just fall thru. Raid closed due to this new bug.
    • Church and the Cult quest: cannot finish searching one of the rooms, quest cannot be completed. Quest closed due to this new bug.
    • 20th completion list on raids is giving random gen loot instead of named items.
    • Guest passes don't work (if you DC you cannot get into a quest even though the guest pass is still active). Guest passes removed from the DDO Store due to this new bug.
    • Players who log out of their characters while they are on the Heart of Wind may be able to enter the Hall of Heroes (Forgotten Realms or Eberron.) Do not transport to Eberron or the Forgotten Realms until your reincarnation on the Heart of Wind has completed.
    • Players with epic levels may end up stuck on the Heart of Wind because the NPC says they don't have enough XP to level. Not sure what causes this.
    • Players using the German or French language launchers may be unable to see the Create and Delete buttons due to overlapping text when using some resolutions or aspect ratios. Players can briefly switch over to the English language client to create or delete a character, then switch back, as a way to work around this issue.
    • Some type(s) of consumable (XP or healing potion, not sure what it was) has had its name and icon removed. If the item was in a character's inventory or bank the item is probably just missing. If the item was in the TR Cache or Shared Bank the item appears as a blank icon (except the number of items in the stack) with blank name and mouse-over says "string table error"; if you try to remove this item stack from the Shared Bank you get a Bank Error popup and the item is gone. I recommend leaving the blank stack in Shared Bank/TR Cache until they fix this item type(s).
    • The bacon in the wok in every guild airship is gone.
    • U19 Release Notes claim that Epic Giant Hold's map fog of war was fixed but it was not.
    • U19 Release Notes claim that Dodge bonuses no-longer stack but they do (or something, not sure what is going on here with the math).
    • Tharask Arena's end reward list is messed up (Heroic and Epic).
    • Challenge reward items with Cannith craftability no-longer work with crafting Masterful Craftmanship I on to them (the ML does not go down).
    • BTA random-gen end rewards (like from the Sharn Syndicate quests, etc) no-longer have ML 2 lower than normal random gen: this is probably WAI now, just makes them not worth working for.
    • ML 0 rings from the Madness chain reward have all been corrected to ML11-15 making them trash now.
    • First version Risia Games Frost/Icy Burst weapons have had their ML increased (later version Festival Frost/Festival Icy Burst did not have ML increase due to those effects, but might have had ML increase for other effects)
    • Risia Games Glaciation items have had their ML hugely increased to pointlessness.
    • Epic Chimera's Fang doesn't recognize the new Greater Dragonmark of Sentinel Enhancement so only gets to the 3 Dragonmarks upgrade.
    • Almost all old named items, Cannith crafted items, and many old random gen items are now worthless compared to new random gen items (even at the same ML). This is presumably WAI.
    • Bards no-longer have Spell Song Burst as an option (but Spell Song Vigor is now AOE instead of Single Target, so almost as good).
    • Fall of Truth GM audio is bugged, repeats the same thing over-and-over.
    • Unyielding Sovereignty no-longer removes death penalties, and available both as enhancement and as a feat with different cooldowns.
    • House C Epic Challenges now require you to be level 21 to enter.
    • Drow Racial Enhancements break after you relog and/or don't work to begin with (Envenomed Blade/Drow SR quits, Drow dexterity sometimes works, Xen'drik weapon training doesn't work)
    • Venomed Blades stance shuts off when zoning: icon in the power tray stays active, but the icon in the buff bar disappears, and the poison ceases to apply. Turning the power off and back on again in the power tray reactivates it.
    • Raid-chest Upgrade Tomes are now BTC instead of BTA (like the BTC Tomes they replace 25% of the time). Random-gen Upgrade Tomes are now unbound (like the unbound Tomes they replace 25% of the time).
    • Kensei Fighter prestige tier 5 Enhancement Keen Edge does not work on unarmed attacks (with or without Handwraps)
    • Enhancements may not stay when you click Apply, refunding some points. Reopening the Enhancements window may show which are not actually applied or relog may be needed. Possibly might refund more points than were spent. Possibly happens when you unallocate lower tiers and it fails to unallocate higher tiers until you try to apply.
    • Paladins in defender stance with the +Con and +%HP enhancements will lose hit points every time they swap weapons. This can even cause death.
    • Human Greater Dragonmark of Passage is missing locations: Twelve, Stormreach Harbor, and Crafting Hall
    • House C Challenge Rushmore: Pictures Portals: The crests which are supposed to be inside the orbs in the Astronomy puzzle are not in the orbs. They are instead laying on the ground on the puzzle tile. Verified twice, didn't tried the other rushmore quests. It's the same on both Heroic and Epic difficulty.
    • House C Challenge Extraplanar Mining: Labor Shortage: Kobolds think you're the Foreman and come back to you to give the crystals. You don't need to make a line anymore or to protect the center, just keep the Kobolds near you and make them follow you to purple crystals. But it can be really annoying because they come to you even when you're fighting. Verified twice on solo Heroic, did not try the other Extraplanar Mining challenges, did not try on Epic, the bug is not existing in Lava Caves: Colossal Crystal.
    • There is now an audio sound indicator for an quest xp bonus and for Dungeon Alert (and they are way too loud compared to the rest of the game combat sounds).
    • There is no Skill Focus: Spellcraft.
    • Chest Reroll button is right where Loot All used to be and has no confirmation before spending Astral Shards.
    • Astral Shards total is now displayed in the bottom-right of the screen with no way to disable and brings up a buy window when you accidentally click the area.
    • Protection tree capstone fails to grant the passive +2 Wisdom it claims to.
    • Some Arcane Archer toggles (like Paralysis) will de-toggle. Switching to melee weapons seems to cause the effect. Once it has de-toggled, even if it is re-imbued i will continue to de-toggle every 30 seconds or so. The best way to fix it is to Imbue the arrows, immediately log out and log back in, and then the toggle is stable. Then don't switch weapons. (This is especially irritating in dungeons with doors that have to be smashed but can't be smashed with arrows).
    • Ninja spy capstone does not apply critical threat enhancements to any weapon (short swords/kamas/shurikens)
    • Halfling enhancement to crits on throwing weapons does not work.
    • Mastery casting implements lore 6 only adds 6% critical chance versus regular lore 6 items adding 16% critical chance.
    • lvl 16 and 20 Cloak of Flames/Frozen Tunic/Lightning Bracers have the wrong element's lores.
    • Bard Enhancements: Spellsinger Musical Studies/Advanced Musical Studies don't work, Warchanter 4th core victory song doesn't work.
    • Deathward prevents Pale Masters and their Skeletal Knights from negative energy healing. Have to drop form and resummon. Pale Masters are now super vulnerable to Cleric Turn Undead (at least in PVP).
    • The Titan Awakes Elite: Titan stands up immediately, window to hit him has shrunk to almost nothing. Failed 3 attempts tonight and only had the laser hit him twice out of 14 tries (which all would have worked last week). This from a player that has over 180 completions, almost all running the laser. Last pillar we did hit when I fired the laser just as the pillar started to fall, before it had even hit the Titan.
    • Barbarian Ravager Enhancement Slaughter is supposed to be +10[W]. Seems to just proc a normal attack.


    Anyone have more to add?

    Drow racial enhancement envenom blade breaks after you leave game and remains
    unfunctional after your return

    Half orc break lock is pointless because one of the pre-req is to have the
    dragon mark ability of knock...and that is the same thing

    I believe Venomed Blades from Assassin tree breaks the Assassinate ability.
    It seems that the poison applies before the Assassinate is checked, so the target is aggroed from poison damage, and Assassinate fails.

    Also, the Venomed Blades stance shuts off when zoning.
    The icon in the power tray stays active, but the icon in the buff bar disappears, and the poison ceases to apply.
    Turning the power off and back on again in the power tray reactivates it.

    Someone mind confirming one or both of these? Is (En)Venomed Blades from Drow Racial or Assassin (or available on both - if so, can you have both?) And does getting it from either location break Assassinate, or just one version of it? And do both break when you relog, or just one? Do both break when zoning, or just one?

    Also, added these to the list:
    • Fall of Truth GM audio is bugged, repeats the same thing over-and-over.
    • Unyielding Sovereignty no-longer removes death penalties.

    Default unarmed keen edge

    As far as I can tell, a martial arts kensei with the keen edge enhancement (kensei fighter prestige, tier 5) does not get the +1 to critical multiplier range when fighting unarmed. When testing I only seemed to score criticals on a 19 or 20. Unarmed has a range of 20 normally, with improved crit it is 19-20 and with keen edge it should be increased by 1 to be 18-20. I tested with wraps and with just bare fists neither had the expected crit range.

    In some cases when allocating Action Points to the Enhancement Trees, some points are refunded after pressing apply. That is because some of the Enhancements chosen were not actually chosen but on the UI they appears to be chosen.
    In most of the case, closing and re-opening the window will fix the UI problem and you can re-spend the points on the enhancements.
    In rare cases you will have to logout and back in to get the UI to show you the right enhancements.
    On G-Land : Flavilandile, Blacklock, Yaelle, Millishande, Larilandile, Gildalinde, Tenalafel, and many other...

    In rushmore: Pictures portals: The crests supposed to be inside the orbs for the puzzles in the astronomy spot are not in the orbs. They are instead laying on the ground on the puzzle tile. Verified twice, didn't tried the other rushmore quests. It's the same on both heroic and epic difficulty.

    In extraplanar mining: labor shortage: The kobolds still love you! Kobolds don't seem the remember the waterworks! They think you're the foreman and come back to you to give the crystals. You don't need to make a line anymore or to protect the center, just keep the kobolds near you and make them follow you in good purple spots room. But it can be really annoying because they come to you even when you're fighting. Probably a bug, did it solo, verified twice, did not tried the other extraplanar mining quests, did not tried on epic, the bug is not existing in lava caves: colossal crystal.

    There is now an audio tell when you get an XP bonus in quests.
    For exemple, there is a sort of dragon roar sound when you get aggression/onslaught/conquest.
    There is a sort of gong when you get observance/perception/vigilance
    I have not noticed the ones for ransack, or trap disarmed, but there are probably.

    Yes, just did the Matadors village quest and unarmed the 4 traps on the stairs and the whole group got for each box a confirmation sound. And I find it nice, as this way everybody is aware about the status.
    * We have collectable bags, hell even hireling folders, but can I have that 6-pack for my potions please?

    I've got a problem with tempest enhancements where enhancements I've taken subsequently changed to show they were not taken, even though the points spent on them is correctly shown in the total (41 points in tempest). These enhancements became greyed out and show 0/1 as if they were not taken.

    Enhancements affected were:
    The second to last core ability. The capstone correctly shows it has been taken despite the fact the other one is a prerequisite.
    The First dexterity. The second one is correctly shown as having been taken despite the first being a prerequisite for it.
    The third and fourth whirling blades.

    If I add up the total of enhancements shown as working the total AP spent is 34, the greyed out ones (shown as having not been taken despite me taking them) total 7 AP, and the total shown is 41AP.

    I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

    Default Chest Re-Roll Shard Waste

    Chest Re-Roll for shards is bugged (to me) since it does not have a conformation screen. This button is also too close to the loot all button. They need a confirmation screen so the we do not accidentally waste shards.

    Also, it seems the enhancement points un-assigning when you hit accept is due to a bug allows you to remove points from enhancements at a lower tier, which causes you to have insufficient points to unlock higher-tier enhancements (e.g, you have 4th tier which requires 20 points, and you remove something at 2nd tier which drops you below 20 points spent). It shouldn't let you do this, and it corrects itself after you accept by removing all points from higher tiers.
