Yes, walking is an irritation. It's so hard to memorize a path and walk on it for two minutes.

These are the final, highest level quests in the game.

What comes after them? Why do you want to reach level cap so quickly just to have nothing to do? Let's not forget that these are "epic" levels which don't actually give your character much power.

If the "MORE XP BYOH DON'T DIE" crowd can't handle not being in ultra-zerg mode at all times then maybe they should just go find a different game.

Yeah one run through and you have free teleports. Nice by the way to see someone admit they might have overreacted.

BTW I logged another toon in and immediately paid AS for transport so I could just get to Breaking the Ranks for an LFM that was going IP (it's a challenging arena beatdown) because that character REALLY wants the end rewards 18% crit Radiance Lore 132 Radiance spell power 110% fort (can pry out heavy fort Augment) and a Yellow slot. Looks like raid loot to a Light based nuker FvS.

Point is, I paid for convenience later and am glad I had the option, now she can get to all the camps at her leisure, with possibly (oh hell easily) the best end reward I've ever picked in DDO.

The Storm Horns get my vote for best explorer area ever, D&D nerd geekage over Griffons, utterly spectacular views... I have hiked/climbed old Rag in Virginia I know exactly what a climb up a mountain looks like and that's some of the prettiest and most well crafted graphics I've ever seen in a video game, I date back to pong so I am qualified to judge.

For those who know: wow that last camp location with the wind effects; breathtaking. For those who are *****ing go play something else.

BTW anyone who's gone up a mountain knows you don't walk straight up them.

For some, EVERYTHING Turbine does is a vast conspiracy that is personally set against them.

I could care less about some AS option to get there faster, so long as there is a free option. I can take the minute or two to get to the Quest.

Most of the outspoken posters on this are the xp/min crowd and how horrible it is that it takes a couple of minutes to get to a Quest. Boo freaking hoo.

If Pay2Win is now defined by the saving of two minutes then every single one of them that has used a Box, and you know they have, is P2W and are supporting the very problem they seem so dead against. Hypocrites are so much fun.

It is and yet it isn't, I've spent a couple hours trying to find the stormhorns quests, still haven't found them all and only found one camp site. It's worse than restless isles and I wish I never paid money for this pos expansion with this bs explorers and lame quests.

When I started playing DDO part of the description was spend time in the quest not time getting to the quest, this was a big draw to me, and I'm sad that it's moving away from it and to cash shop options if you want to play that way still.

And where is your self honesty or have you never run through Giant Hold or the Sands?

Seriously you can pretend serpentine and confusing pathways is something that only entered the game with P2W if you really want to and chances are you will because of how desperate you seem to be to crow about being right (see that embarrassing display in the thread I made last week), but I doubt anyone but the most inexperienced DDO player is going to read what you wite and not roll their eyes.

You can also pretend that the winding pathways up a mountain are there for pay to win, but of all the winding paths in DDO explorer areas this one is actually easilly the most realistic and convincing. Perhaps you're not pretending and you're just unfamiliar with mountains... google "Appalachian trail" and zoom in. Switch backs, blind canyons, saddle backs, ridges... Storms Horns is freakin' bad ass and I commend the mapper who made it because he has done something few developers get right: made a mountain area actually look and feel like a mountain.

Put Climbing skill in the game and i'd be tempted to scale those cliffs just for fun.

For posterity: I would totally support additional guides in Sands, Gianthold, Reaver's Refuge, Vale, King's Forest, Demonweb and High Road.
Main: Amossa d'Cannith, Sarlona, casually trying Completionist [<o>]

    Almost-never-played-alts: Arquera - Chapolin - Fabber - Herweg - Mecanico - Tenma

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

Just rechecked with 52 WIS, still no luck .... don't see a dice rolling so doesn't look like there's a random factor on top of this - just a straight forward fail on a ridicuclously high attribute

Disgusting. No one is playing the game and Turbine is selling everything.

Get the money counter to toggle off on the lower right side of my screen. Not even because it gets in the way of my hotbar/cooldowns, but mainly that It's pathetic.

Charging fees to get to your quests. I really don't know what else to say without thinking either money grovelling hustle or the same thing but worse. It could/should have been Plat. If you're going to nickel and dime us at least give us mounts. That way you can charge us for mount upgrades-- obv!--
    .
Selling skill checks. does this work with cometfall and trips? Stuns? When can I do this with all Saves, please?

Bravo to Turbine for finding another way to monetize. There do exist players with a glut of $/shards, so it makes sense to glean every bit of cash from these types as possible. For those who like to run the wildy and find the teleporters, that option still exists. There is no P2W issue here. Carry on.

Except for people that despise explorers and won't p2w to teleport to avoid it.

Oh, and regarding the term P2W:

You (and others) keep wanting to call monitizations like this P2W. Go ahead and call it that all day long, I don't care, but you make yourselves look stupid by doing so. This is NOT P2W.

It could be called a win to avoid a huge irritant. Of course it's not really a win, it's more like paying the mafia protection money, you won and your shop isn't busted up, but really you still lost.

Agreed. The area is really nice. I just climbed to near the top of that mountain and found a nasty little visitor waiting for me. The environments are cool and the views amazing. Even the clouds look great.

I do wish there was a better variety of monsters, however.
