    UPDATE 8/29/13: The raid has reopened. Thank you for your patience.

    The Ascension Chamber Raid, located in the Necropolis, is temporarily unavailable due to a bug which prevents raid completion. We appreciate your patience while we investigate and fix this issue.

    Well, technically it doesn't prevent raid completion so much as make it very, very painful.

    But in other words, thank you in advance for getting it fixed!

    Yes, a buddy on Sarlona completed last night, just very shakily

    As did we on Orien. Tried 4-5 times on elite then ended up just doing a few normal runs for completions and calling it a night.

    yeah... R/Item's Tuesday night Abbot runs were rather interesting with needing to swim ice and tough out the inferno with PLISs...


    on the subject of inferno...is it no longer a curse? it one-shot my rogue even tho i was sitting with my fingers hovered over the curse pot and the SF pot buttons.

    From the descriptions, it doesn't prevent completion. Ice pads not working is quite feasible to work around. Closing it is using a sledgehammer on a mosquito.

    What about just changing the flash screen when you load in to the raid a brief "ice pads don't work" instead of "Gianthold Tor!" message?

    well, yeah... its complete-able...on normal... if you have someone with 700HP +/- or more and SF pots (or quickened reconstruct/hjeal) to run ice, and the majority of your raid has PLIS and carries a way to raise the few who don't.


    sounds like a horrendous PITA to me. i can wait for them to fix it... really i can

    Good time to completely redesign the raid guys...

    It's a garbage raid that brings more disappointment then joy.

    I believe they close "technically completable but hard if you're unprepared" quests to stop an overflow of GM tickets, unless you need that quest to flag or something (like with spinner of shadows, they kept it open until they put in the portal in the harbor).

    Believe it or not, it's actually my 2nd favorite raid behind hound (though hound has always had a couple easily exploitable bugs allowing it to be completed quickly, even now), because it's a change of pace from the regular "grab tank, spam dps spam heals" raids out there (possibly even simpler than that, sometimes no tank is needed or no heals are needed), sometimes throwing in the gimmick of "someone run around in circles with these guys we don't actually have to kill", or "kill these dudes at the same time or in X order". Which sums up the majority of the raids in this game.

    Of course, bugs are frustrating. When I /sleep roids, I usually just do 360s with my camera again and again. Trust me, I have been hit by roids that I never saw so many times, they can't all be flukes/errors. I can pretty much prove to you, if you find me, that people (or other friendly objects like summons) will block a boulder's path. Goggles is often just haxed through, though I don't mind that as much as I mind haxing hox, because I've done many abbot runs where I never even stepped into goggles anyway.

    You might want to add a warning and a link to the threads about the raid counters having a problem at the moment. I don't raid a lot so it probably won't effect me but I would be a little leary of running a raid knowing it might not count, especially if I was close to a 20th completion. Perhaps it will count it correctly but I'd be pretty bummed if I ran what I thought was my 20th only to find the game didn't count it, especially if once the counter problem is solved the game then did count it so I ended up missing my 20th completion reward list. Just a thought.

    Yes, but since the servers came back up after the patch there have been a couple of threads saying that they counters, while working, are showing the wrong completion count. Tolero has a post that the completion counters are experiencing some anomolies and there is a separate thread about the counters being wrong. I'm not certain of the best way to include the links in this post but you can see them both in the Dev Tracker.
