Default Shroud of the Litch effected by deathward.

Thats right folks, that pesky necro wizard in your party getting on your nerves? Death ward him. For maximum effect wait till he has a bunch of aggro, and watch him wonder why his spells are not healing him anymore.

I think it is worse then that. If you shrine with it on, you still have it on after you're done. Drop death auras and no healing.

Drop out of form, back into form, and it works.

Drop death auras before you go into form, and they will disappear after the put on the shroud.

    Yeah, it's annoying...

Don't worry I'm sure they'll fix it sometime in the next year or two. Or maybe they can add a astral shard icon on the shroud switch so that you can pay AS to ignore the effects of death ward.

Having shroud stay up when going into quests and after shrining is great, not a bug and how it should have always been.
please do not kill this in 2 years when you finally fix the deathward issue.

I had the same effect in Lords of Dust. Gnomon tossed a Divine Punishment on me and I was no longer able to heal myself with auras or Burst.

Remember, Turbine's code management person needs to be fired (assuming it has been the same person for a while.) And I don't say that lightly. But they have consistently broken what got fixed time after time after time for the last several updates.

Once again you have absolutely no idea how interdependent and complex code simulating a three dimensional world is. Dont pretend you do, if you knew the half of it you wouldn't make uninformed comments like this year after year, and be corrected by people who do know, year after year. If only it was so simplistic and straight forward as "code management" to think all these PC games just need to manage their code better and all their bugs would disappear!... Or I don't know; perhaps having made a "hello world" with visual basic in high school doesn't qualify one to judge actual complex code base. One of those seems more probable than the other lol.

Every MMO has bugs like that immediately after patches/expansions. Other MMOs just take care of (most of) them alot faster.

    No they do not.

Turbine clearly has no version control or old buggy code like that would not pop up so often.

No, bugs would not disappear and new bugs would appear even with the best code management. However if you have a working version control then old bugs would not reappear all the time long after they have been fixed. That is one of the points of such systems.

Sorry, but I play a variety of MMOs at any time and I never see this kind of garbage from other AAA MMOs. Maybe you'd like to provide a reference?
