Default Now possible to directly pay for xp

Each roll of the Daily Dice system grants a prize of Experience points in addition to a prize.

These points range in amounts based on how well you roll.

The amounts bestowed by the Gold roll are higher than the Silver roll.

And if people choose to do so - it will affect you how?

If people are daft enough to waste cash on Astral Shards for Daily Rolls then more power to them.

Most I ever got using the free points on lamaland was 8K. Hardly game breaking

The xp is pretty marginal, but better than nothing - save it for a TR perhaps?

However, Sov pots, Otto's Box, and Bigby's box are the things you should be complaining about. :P

In a strange way I hope people are daft enough... This way I can keep playing this game with a minimal investment.

I'm guessing that the cost of the shards required for the amount of rolls required to get from 1 to 28 would be equivalent to the overhead costs of running DDO for an entire year.

How am I paying for XP again when I get free rolls every day/week?

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

I was actually thinking of creating a new class based on this ability. I'll roll a level one human Barbarian/Wizard/Rogue. I'll max Charisma (so that I can also max Haggle, Intimidate and Bluff) and Dex (so that it can get out of tight spots) and Con will be the dump stat (just so that it has enough to take some verbal abuse and keep rolling). I'll park it by the Harbor bank and pass it all of the xp tokens (or whatever they're called) I get from my daily and weekly rolls. Every day, I'll log in with it, run around for a bit so that it looks busy and get into a rage argument with the first person I cross paths with, about anything that comes to mind at the time. It will do absolutely nothing but talk and run around looking busy, but it will still get to level 20 and cap and, with the farming of my other characters it will always have the best gear possible...

Reluctantly agreed although I do think it's unnecessary.

XP to cap a third life = 4,378,500
Average xp from a roll = 4,000 (guess)

You mean you could cap a character without actually questing in only 1095 rolls? Result!

For real drama, make the XP award VIP only

    EDIT: 1095 silver rolls x 3 AS = 3285 AS = (2795x6)+1495+195 = 18,460 TP = $99.99+$59.99+$19.99 = $179.97

Will be fun to see what the final numbers work out at once they've been crunched with more data

It's is completely unnecessary. However as I'm getting one free roll a week and no longer getting 3 crappy ingredients, I'm in full support of the change

    I am of two minds.
I think its a slippery slope to a Pay2Win scenario, but if someone wants to Pay2Win it really only benefits me.

I just hope it costs a lot of A$ per 1k XP.

Well, chances are, not many people are going to have the cash to spend like that to level. Even if you used just the free rolls, it would be faster to quest. I mean, if there are a few that decide they DO indeed have the money. More power to them. They'll be a very select few and they'll keep the game going with what they will be paying. XD

    Outrage!

What's next, potions in the DDO store that give you extra XP any time you run a quest?!

Actually, from what i saw, it's about ~500/ silver and ~4000/ gold (only about 10 rolls each, so not sure). Also, since gold rolls give out 10x more than silver, if you're rolling for XP, you're always better off rolling gold.

however, as a VIP, with 1 free weekly and one free daily, i get ~7500 XP/week for free! Or in 3 years, i could bring a toon from 1-20!

Couple things to keep in mind.

    1. The amount of XP I've seen from the rolls is 400 XP to 4,000 XP
    2. Tokens don't stack
    3. The XP is not effected by any XP enhancements if it is for 400 it is 400 XP

Clever ways to use these tokens
    • Leveling Off Epic Destinies - Slow leveling without playing them, or quicken the exit process
    • Getting past Leveling points that are not fun for you - Some that is the 18 to 20 range, some find that in the 12 to 15 range
    • TR Start-up Boost - With enough you can start at Level 4 instead of Level 1 (Does require some bank space)
    • Jumpstart a new character - 1st Lifer starting at 4/7/15 can potentially start much higher (dependent on how many you store away)
    • Clean up XP - Avoid loss of Quest XP by being able to "Clean up" that last bit to get to the next level

For Turbine this now gives more incentive to do the rolls - especially Gold rolls. But I will agree that unless you have deep pockets the likely hood of "Buying" your way through leveling bound to account XP tokens is not going to be as cheap as some think it will be.
