I am very excited about Monday. I was expecting the downtime to be until at least noon given all the changes.

Don't worry. The servers will easily be down until noon.

Didn't Maj or someone recently say that release notes would be available at the end of this week?

With all the massive changes being made it would be nice to get time to plan.

Oh well, I've got 35 toons on one account on Khyber so redoing those should take a month or so. See you in game in October maybe.

I wonder how many players who don't read the forums are going to get a really big surprise when they log in on Monday and find that their toons are a little bit different than they expected. I suspect I'll log in to the forums on Monday evening with a beer and a big bag of popcorn

Heck, you will not have to wait until Monday evening for that!

It will start, as usual, at 7am with the standard "why were we not told about the downtime in advance" rants.

I will be giggling all morning long with my Irish Coffee collecting the tears from all the whining, temper tantrums, and hissy fits to make ice for my cocktails to celebrate the launch of Shadowfell.

I expect to be slurring my words by 2pm.

To be fair, there have been a number of 'scheduled' downtimes over the years that seem to have been 'scheduled' a mere 10 minutes before the actual downtime... this one was rightly advertised though, I'll give you that.

Actually kind of gross, you're going to be drinking people's tears? No, you can't just say they will be the ice cubes for your drinks as tears are a saline solution and don't form into ice too easily... you may as well be drinking sweat.

Except for the lysozymes that are in tears that are not in sweat...so tears are antimicrobial.

    So, patch notes... please?

On a semi-related note, I've got popcorn ready - if you feel like taking longer than the given three hours, feel free. I'll hit the sack at some point, with my dreams filled with mountain-dew-induced-nerd-rage. (MDINR for short)

Got my day planned already, I got lots of new music to learn on the guitar. That should take about 3 hours. Then I got some AutoCAD design to do, another 2 hours, then I'm making a winerack out of some spar wood: say 3 hours.

Should be just in time for the second or third "Downtime Extended" notice
