As a newish player that's just gotten their main to 19, is there a server more active than others and/or one with large, active guilds? This game has a pretty high difficulty / low 'stickiness' quality for new players even if they're D&D 3.5 vets. Mainly talking here about finding groups and the right quests before level 8-10 or so (/high difficulty) as thats when character power starts to be a draw in and of itself (/stickiness).

    Servers by Population:

Top Tier = Thelanis and Khyber

2nd Tier = Ghallanda, Argo and Sarlona

3rd Tier = Cannith and Orien

    Don't bother = Wayfinder

Now as for Types of Population - Well there's no real way to codify this

Sarlona has a large population of Orientals
Ghallanda and Cannith seem to have the highest populations of Europeans

All servers seem empty From 5 am to 8 pm GMT

Probably Khyber, Thelanis is more of a Europe server.

Thelanis maybe? I am in Virginia I can play all night when the LFM's are there, as much as I gripe about LFM's I suspect the selection is as good as the game has to offer right now. Get into a guild that runs during your play time, and/or have a few Alts spread out in levels to make it easier to find PUGS.
You guys filibustering a new mode have already succeeded in scaring the Dev's into not doing it the right way and re-scaling the existing settings, why in the world are you still filibustering? Drunk on your success? Schadenfreude? Spitefulness?

I have been bouncing between Khyber and Thelanis (looking for a new home, originated from Khyber on this account), and Khyber is way more active late night EST 11pm on than it is any other time, while Thelanis I have been quite impressed with and seeing close to double the amount of LFMs while I am logged on (6pm-12am EST). During the week anyways, weekends are a different matter.

Khyber is the largest and most heavily populated server.

Come on over! I did and haven't regretted the move.

Yes I realize that DDOracle is out of date now but Thelanis was ahead of Khyber by 3000 in April
Not that much but these two were quite a distance ahead of the next 3 servers - G-Land, Argo and Sarlona.

As for the other statements in my post:

Cannith is my Home and I know for a fact that it has a very large European Population!
G-Land is always mentioned on these forums as where many Europeans migrated to when their Servers were closed down.
Sarlona is Well Known for it's Chinese Population {I stated Oriental so as not to leave out those not from China}.

    Default if you use DDOracle

Ghallanda is actually the most active server now.

Last report was run on August 9, 2013
Recipemaker Guild: Top Chef School of Recipes

Event Statistics: Risia, Festivult, Midwinter, Daily Dice, Mimic Hunt

That amount is for ALL Servers!

The Graph isn't what I'm talking about - What I'm talking about is the "Total Number of Characters:" Per Server.

    And G-Land http://www.ddoracle.com/Ghallanda.html
    Shows as 90,000
7k less than Khyber and 10k less than Thelanis!

Yes that report was run on April 21st whereas the Graph goes to August BUT it shows actual numbers.

The main thing from that Graph btw is that between the 15th and 16th of July G-Land's Log Ins shot up past Khyber and Thelanis - Why?

ghall seems more like a fausade. Theirs 30 or so lfm boxes up. The problem is 20 of those things only got one dude in em. And then they sit until 10 minutes rolls by then they vanish into the sad nothingness. Having been force logged because tv was more interesting, or....something else on another tab. .. ...

Thel and khy. And even then your not going to be moving into the las vegas strip. But human life will at least be somewhat noticeably present.
Through avarice, evil smiles; through insanity, it sings.
