Are you actually going to tell me that people don't judge based on gear? Seriously? Everyone gets looked up, rated, and sorted on Orien. If this doesn't happen for you, good, but it happens in everything I've ever played. People want to be the best, and they think that you need to be wearing the right gear to do anything. Is this right? No.

My point is, this will be much harder to do now, and people will have to accept the fact that others are different.

Do I care about what people are wearing? No. If you don't believe me, I run a channel devoted to getting new people through raids they "shouldn't" do, exclusively PUG my raids, and have never kicked someone for HP or anything else.

I will really LOVE vendor trashing 1% drop rate EE weapons, because it came with random cr@p like unholy or wizardry.
I just can't wait, and I quiver in anticipation.

And this is different than vendor trashing an EE Royal Scimitar, Allegiance or Charoush's Inferno or Low and behold any one of those GH Runarms how?

Personally I like the idea of variable effects on some equipment (not all) as it allows for flexibility, but hey I guess people only want everyone to be wearing the one best in slot item that gets released or has been released in the past.
    Toons:
Smallmans Syndrome, Rovac, Dragnipur, Prettyhater Machine, Lubed, Castinfist

In the current system you throw away a lot more than that. Most of the items from GH I saw no reason to, and, since they were static, there would never be one. Tell me I'm wrong, but this is what "I" do.

If you aren't dual wielding eSoS, you're doing it wrong. That's pretty much where this player base is running.

Now that I've boosted your ego, please stop increasing numbers which only lead to the obsolescence of past gear without actually generating new stuff. That is to say replacing a +8 str item with a +10 str item. It doesn't actually do anything in the end. I know it's too late to change now, but can we leave bad enough alone?

Amazing name by the way, assuming Dune.

Judge by gear is right. Obvsiuly there is not only one gear that is good, but some choiches proof that a player doesn't know game mechanisms.
And if persons want judge others, they will do it also with random item. Maybe ignoring the random effect and considering only the other ones.

I you want personalization, we must have at least two pieces for class that are equally good for the same slot.
I don't think for esample that a rogue with balizard and one with celestia will have a different threatment. Maybe if you want go against devils with E Garos Malice, some one will tell you "Change your weapon"
Randomization is not the solution. Customization it is.

You stated earlier that you are the first to care what people are wearing and now you say no. Make up your mind.

And go farm Random gen loot if you like to be different.

    Let's see:

    3x Flawless Dragon Armors

    Dream Visor
    Kardin's Eye
    Ring of the Djinn
    Ring of Shadows
    Royal Scimitar*
    Spiked Boots
    Arkat's Cord
    Quiver of Poison
    Adamantine Knuckles
    Madstone Skull*
    Shamanic Fetish
    Jeweled Cloak
    The Mountain's Fist
    Bulwark*
    3x RuneArm***
    Gloves of Forgotten Craft*
    Chained Soldier*
    Field optics
    3x Helms
    Collar
    3x Staffs***
    Compass*
    Hammer*
    Mantle of Dragonfiend
    Skyvault
    Allegiance*
    Bow*
    Manacles, Ring of Prophecy, Globe

Out of 52 items, only 19 items are trash, not even 50% of the items.

In this expansion, we have a rate of 100% Named items = Trash so far. So yeah, Gianthold is much more different than this.

Presuming that the * are the trash...
The Epic Chained soldier is quite useless, but the Eroic Elite Version with 2d12 at level 14 is good! (I would never search it, but i found farming the HE Intricated)
Or at least it was good before expansion, with the new system of paragon i don't know...

I know, this is not the point, is just to say.

It's a test and feedback server, I don't want to be playing loot lotteries, I want to see numbers, test new mechanics, builds and then provide feedback.

No it's not. It's a preview. It's intention is for you to see what is coming, tell the people you know on live and IRL so they order it. It's marketing ploy. Sure they may make it seem like it's a beta/feedback server, but the NDA legal contact called it a preview, the announcements today called it a preview. We will only get what they are told to show.

My presuming was not a critic. I simply counted 17 * against 19 blamed object.
And mostly of that * I don't like too...

But I don't find belt of seven ideals... my poor belt that gives me greater spell penetration, a slot green one colorless, and can be used with spidersilk XD

Obviusly a player that does tr in less than three days is less interested than me in level 14 loot.

The named shuriken MUST be spelltouched, as well as having a extended crit range and multiplier. But honestly there are no viable shuriken in ddo that bypass DR aside from crafting a min 2 shuriken (which would be junk). Even then there would be no way to bypass bludgeoning or slashing DR with one, I wish shurikens got some enhancements like arcane archers, but alas we did not.

P.S. No other handwrap in the game compares to the grave wrappings. Every monk who uses handwraps desires= 10stunning (or more) and some form of level drain (make it on crit oh please oh please!). You can add whatever thunder and lightning nonsense you want after that. But unless it drains levels, I am sticking to my grave wrappings.
Making DDO a better game 1 post at a time!

    Triple EVERYTHING Completionist= Heroic 39/39, Iconic 12/12, Epic 36/36

I disagree. The shuriken does not have to have spelltouched. In fact if it is a themed shuriken let's say versus undead and does bludgeon damage, silver threaded, 2d6 light damage, Greater Sunburst and Greater Disruption it would be far better versus Undead as any spelltouched shuriken could ever be. I'd like to see some stuff of this kind.
Shuricannon 2.0 Drow 20 Monk Thrower for DPS, Nethercannon Shadar-Kai 15 Pal/3 Monk/2 Rog Thrower for Past Lifes
Shiradi Shuricannon Drow 20 Monk Thrower for Defense, Shiradi Warcannon Warforged 11 Wiz/6 Monk/3 Rog Thrower...Throwers for the win

When did I state this? I do not care at all what people wear to my raids. We used to run eChrono, when e was the only difficulty, with 10 random people. If you want to say I judge people, you're pretty wrong on this one, and I'll bring in some character witnesses from Orien.

I stand by that I'd prefer seeing people in gear I can't list off the stats on to ones I've seen a thousand times. A good example, what armor do end game DPS wear? Not a random level 25 rogue, a raid guilded end game toon.
