Default Just fitted a SSD, the result is amazzing

Awesome. Just fitted a samsung 840 pro , 128gb SSD. What an amazing difference even on my antique pc. (sata 2)

DDO did not crash once last night. Everything ran smoother, much much less jerkiness in city area's. My goodness i even went from the kings forest to the sands of mechatarun with no problem.
Faster loading screens. Probably not true but it seems 10 times faster.
This game is 7 years old, if your pc is too (like mine) its time to buy and fit one now. :-)
Just awestruck, wether it be a Dragon flying overhead Stormreach, that glowing character who just zoomed in'n'out of the Pub, or that i can drink a Beholder under the table and best of all rescuing Damsels in distress.

Character. Alivef 1 x heroic completionist (+a few more pl's) 1 x epic completionist, and some iconic and racial pl's

Just make sure you use trim on it, or it will slow down. I love mine as well, night and day.

For those less tech-savvy folks; Optimizing SSDs in Windows 7 and Windows 8.

XP users will have to rely on whatever optimization software came with the drive (if any).

Thanks for the tips. I'll have a look now.
I can imagine it will be even better when/if i have enough money in my pocket long enough to build me a new pc.

Again last night no problems with DDO. No lag, no dc. I really am gob-smacked. I still sometimes get jerkiness in town areas but not the stuck in place for a second(or few) like i used too. :-)

Best of all i don't feel wary anymore of jioning groups in case i dc and by the time i've logged back in the quest has been done lol
