    Default Augments and multi-slotted items

I guess it wouldn't work to say, put 3 augments with acid damage in one weapon.
    Because that would be sweet.
I have two Mountain's Fist axes on my Dorf fighter, and have several redundant augments. Still takes care of the mobs no problem.
But would be nice to load one of them up with one damage type.

I suspect it won't work, but if you have a spare one (or just haven't put the augments you actually want in one) then you can probably pick up some of the cheapest ml4 versions with the same element to test it out - if they stack then hurrah & if not, well you're out of pocket by no more than 8k pp or so.
I don't mean to come across as unsympathetic - but I am, so I do.

I was told (by a reliable source) that the same damage augments (say, two 1d8 acid) did not stack, but I never tried it with different dice of the same element (say, 1d6 and 1d8 acid.)

Try the ML 4 and ML 8 acid damage augments and let us know!

    That's what I was thinking.
I have an axe of adaxus laying around with a couple of useless augments in them.
I will try it out on that one first.

    Exactly the same aguments?
    Because, if so...

Yes, you can slot multiple augments in the same item that add damage dice of the same element. It will work.

Yeah I don't see why it wouldn't? You can have multiple identical damage effects on a weapon. You can add Festival Icy Burst to a weapon with Icy Burst, cant you, for example? Or doesn't the Epic Red Dragonscale add Flaming to all your weapons, even ones that already have it?

IIRC this doesn't stack. Festival Icy Burst will stack with boareal or Icy Depths, bit not with another Icy Burst. Again - IIRC.

Early reports were that same damage augments do indeed stack. If it's easy to check I'll post a screenshot.

    Default This just in!

Got rid of the garbage augments I put into Adaxus, before I knew what the heck augments were.
Put two different frost augments in, and tested it on the training dummy. Was gettin' 2 tics for cold damage.
Gonna try using 2 identical augments on it tomorrow and will report my findings.

I did this early on; it works just fine. I was not expecting it to, but it did. In fact, I still have the item in my bank - Flint, with 2xRuby of Greater Shock on it, which both stack with the Shocking Burst on the item as well.

    Good news!

Now all I need are about 10 jewelers kits and a slew of augments.

I don't bother with jeweler's kits and slot over the augments. The best places I find augments are:

    • AH
    • Augment vendors in GH
    • Lahar in the 12 next to Epic stone of change. He takes tokens of 12 for trade in. Run Devil Assualt on norm and you will sometimes get 2 tokens...

These sources can be much cheaper than a kit.

I'm not trading in my tokens for augments. I'll stick with the AH and vendors.
But, yeah...the kits are a bit pricey.

Just as an adder, Sovereign Ruby of Shock works just fine on my Triple Air Alchemical Khopesh.

Oh how I love the Electric numbers that float by.....

It does not work on handwraps. Just tested on Lamannia.

Crikey! Always the borks with the handwraps.

On a more positive note, just sprung for two sovereign acids on the ddo store. Put them on the axe of the chained soldier. Not too shabby.
