Default Need an opinion on a Helli build

So, decided to make my own Helli character as my next TR life for fighter, following the build by Thanimal (found here: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...mmerin-Halflin )

However, Instead of stunning blow, I decided to take stunning fists. As this will be a 36 point build and I have +4 of each tome, the increased DC in stunning fist trumps stunning blow even with the strength bumps.

Now in not taking stunning blow, I don't get the enhancements for stunning blow, which frees up 3 enhancement points, awesome! But I now have a conundrum.

I can either take Fighter Unarmed Mastery II and Fighter Toughness III for 10 more hp, or I can drop the Fighter Unarmed Mastery 2 and gain 1 more enhancement point, and instead take Shintao I on top of the Kensei II.

The latter seems like the better choice, but hoping other ideas.

    Thanks in advance!

It's been a long while since I played my Helli; but at a glance I would drop GWF:B (not sure why it's in there, it's not a pre-req for Kensei II), Dodge (unless going for Ninja), and CE (unless you plan on Imp Trip as well). That frees up enough feats so you can get S.Blow and Cleave (Shintao pre-req) & GC. Although I'm not sure what Shintao would add to this build; presuming you stay STR-based, your Smite DCs will be subpar. I think I'd rather go Ninja; you lose FoL, but gain 1d6 SA + Shadow Fade and can use short swords as ki weapons.

I just finished up one of these a couple months ago, and it wasn't bad. The dps was low on stun-immune mobs, but the healing was nice. Some observations:

    • Go dark monk and Ninja Spy for Shadow Fade.
    • I took Stunning Fist and Stunning Blow, though in harder epics stunning blow was all but useless.
    • Grandmaster is obviously a great destiny for the build.
    • I generally didn't use the Heal dragonmark. In the cases where I really needed it, it was just forestalling the inevitable; and it's unaffected by your metamagics. For all other cases the lesser marks were enough.
    • Wear a devotion item and as much healing amp as you can get.

It's always a shame when the hammer of poor design choices smashes the fun of player tactical adaptation.

Are there any changes you would make to the build in general? I'm coming back to the game fresh (I only made it to level 10 when I played before), and I was wondering if you think the build isn't fit for purpose as it was when last edited? If it's subpar in epics that's fine, but I'm not sure whether it needs to be tweaked to shoot for more AC/Saves/Health/etc and how I would go about doing it (I only ever copied builds from the forum). And if it's just a matter of using different gear late/end-game, no need to go into detail (it'll be ages before I get there),

The feats seem a little dated to me, and I spent EP differently, but the base is still perfectly solid. Looking back over it now I'm tempted to tinker with it, but I enjoyed the build as is. It had great AC and survivability.
