    Default 12 sorc/6 arti

    I appreciate wiz/arti is the more natural mix but this is the second of my 3 planned sorc lives so for this one I wanted to try something different. It will allow me to get both arti battle enhancement and tier 2 elemental savant. WF for self heals.

    The plan is to have trap skills, stand at the back with rune arm/repeater use for lower level mobs and then use sorc spells to take down bosses/bigger groups.

    Any comments? Are the trap skills high enough for lvl 19 hard? Is the UMD worth having?

    I don't like how it delays everything. Reconstruct at 18..
    I am not sure if 6 artificer levels are worth it. Have you considered ditching battle engineer and sticking to 1 (repeaters, dog) /2 (runearms) /3 (insightful strikes) / 4 (bonus feat) levels of artificer?

    Also, obviously, start with an artificer level for more skills...

    Also, you don't want weapon focus!

    Generally, I think the build is pretty bad Sorry

    skills: max search, disable device, concentration. UMD/Spot optional. Concentration optionalish if you take quicken.

    The problem with MCing a sorc, IMHO, is that pure sorcs are so ridiculously OP in heroic content that MCing one is usually about either boosting your survivability (e.g., pally splash for Divine Grace for ridiculous saves or rog / monk splash for Evasion), your versatility (e.g., rog or arty splash for UMD & trap skills), or just making things more challenging on yourself because you're tired of "I WIN!" buttons.

    Also, to paraphrase another poster: TRs plan for lvl 18, because usually they park there while grinding out the XP to hit 20 then TR again. So, in your case, if you don't wanna be a pure sorc, what about rog 2 / pal 2 / sorc 14? That gets you Evasion, Divine Grace, UMD, trap skills, and lvl 7 spells. I suppose you could substitute arty for rog if you really wanna pew-pew-pew; but past mid-lvls I'm pretty sure you'd be better off w/Evasion than a repeater once you start spamming your DPS spells.

    Toaster sorc is the fastest life ever and easily the best zerging toon in heroics.
    lvl 6 : fireball, fire savant
    lvl 12 :savant 2, reconstruct
    lvl 14 : dbf
    Scorching ray for beholders and acid rain for fire immune, disintegrate for Death shall rise, Wiz king and GoP, switch to water after Necro 4, Otiluke, Ice Storm, Polar.

    Splashing is gimping yourself if you going for fast past lives.

    I agree; splashing can slow progress, however I am not a power/serial TR; I like changing my toon and play something different. It'll probably take me 2-3 months to get back to 20 so I want to enjoy the journey.
