Default The biggest nerf ever – this is unacceptable!

Of the many complaints on these forums there is one major thing everyone has overlooked – the “close window” dialogue that replaced the old flavor text on every single window! No more does my character end conversations with a quip or weak excuse to avoid the quest, he simply says “close window”.

This obliteration of verisimilitude cannot stand.

I was wondering if I was the only one that noticed that..
It doesn't completely kill my immersion because I don't play DDO to RP, but yeah it's like turning creative into lazy.
Sometimes the flavor text or quips are highly entertaining and that is why I play DDO. Entertainment.

I'd /sign with the OP in that removing that bit of creative enthusiasm was duly noted and missed.

I think you've misused the word verisimilitude there. I do see your point though, but I assume it being the biggest nerf ever is mostly for comedic effect.

Could it be an Eberron variation of 'go fly a kite'?

NPC: Help! My house is being attacked by a dragon!
You: Go close your windows, buddy!

Heard a joke about this once.

NPC: Help! My Cart won't start.
You: I am checking the mechanics on your cart. It must be running <X>. Please close all windows and reboot and then restart.

The biggest nerf was the removal of sneak-humping.

I'd debate that. I think when we lost the ability to spin while shrining was our greatest loss.

Would you rather that the text says,

"(Diplomacy) Sorry, <NPC Name>. I am a busy hero. I have more urgent matters to attend to and I am already late. I will come back to you when my work queue is lessened. Please talk to my agent if you would like to raise the priority of your issue.

(Bluff) In order to push your problem to the top of the priority queue, I would require an extra service charge of 10,000 platinum pieces.

(Spellcraft) Charm the <NPC> so that <NPC> will ignore you."
