'Currently I'm lvl 11 atm and trying to choose my type of GS weapon. So far I have maxed my Int (base of 20), with splashes of Dex (base 14) and Str(base 14). My main goal is to be able to do traps. I have been selecting spells with no "spell resistance" and am hoping I could do decent melee. I had originally planned on using a quarterstaff and picking the THF feat to boost damage, however a friend advised that I should be dual wielding with a specialty weapon like Khoseph or Sword.
My questions are this:
1) If I select spells with no "spell resistance", am I right in thinking that I don't need to invest in spell penetration?
2) What weapon feats is best to pick for a MELEE DAMAGE 18 sorc/2 rogue. Quarterstaff with THF, or using my Feat for dual wielding with a Khoseph (or...)?
3) Am I being stupid. Should I just concentrate on casting/trapping and give up on the melee aspect?
Other little details... I have two past lives, Arti and FS, as well as +3 tomes on all stats. I currently have the Insightful Reflex and Resilience feat.
Any advice would be helpful.
