Default Evil Outsiders and Undead - how frequent?

Can someone give me a general rule as to how often I will encounter undead and/or evil outsiders? I recall asking this a long time ago way before MOTU but honestly I've forgotten, and now with levels 21-25 and 26-28 coming, it bears asking the question again.

From time to time when evaluating current weapons and current enhancements for my Pallies, and looking also at new potential enhancements, there are a lot of choices to be made specific to fighting undead and/or evil outsiders, sometimes having to choose between the two.

I've been given hints, lists of what's what, etc., but I can't seem to remember offhand how often Evil Outsiders occur and which are them (and don't even start talking about lawful or chaotic!) It's been quite a few moons since I played paper DnD and I suspect many new players may be in the same boat or not even played Paper DnD.

I also wonder why Pally's special abilities (and some weapons) are so restricted to just Evil Outsiders and undead - there are so many more opponents in DDO. I assume this is an artifact of DDO/DnD history.

Thanks for any quick rules of thumb.

Just epic content, off the top of my head:

    Phiarlan Carnival
Evil outsider end boss for two quests (including last quest)
More tieflings than you can shake a stick at in two quests
    No undead of any kind

    Sentinels of Stormreach
One quest is virtually all undead
No evil outsiders in any of the quests

    Red Fens
No evil outsiders except for end fight of last quest
Zombies in minimal amounts in one quest

    Demon Sands
    Tons of undead in WizKing
Lots of evil outsiders in ADQ1&2, including raid boss (Lailat)

    Devil Assault
All evil outsiders, all the time

    Secrets of the Artificers
    No undead of any kind
A small handful of evil outsiders in LOB (Maybe only 1?)

    MotU: King's Forest
One quest is crawling with undead (zombies)
Last quest end fight is an evil outsider (babelith)

    MotU: Underdark
One quest is crawling with undead (zombies)
Last quest has a few evil outsiders (boss is drow)

    MotU: Demonweb
Lots of evil outsiders in all quests
Raid has lots of undead and evil outsiders, though raid boss is an aberration
Wilderness area has fair amount of undead and evil outsiders

    Druid's Deep
    No undead or evil outsiders

    High Road
Enough undead and evil outsiders to notice, but not a majority
Last quest end boss is an evil oustider, surrounded by trash evil outsiders

    Gianthold
A few undead and evil outsiders in quests, but not a ton (jariliths, rakshasa, giant skellies)
Fair amount of giant skellies in tor
Epic raid (FoT) has two bosses: undead and giant

The next "tribute module" is Haunted Halls of Eveningstar; a title suggesting a fair amount of undead.

    Edit: LoD chain;
Lords of Dust has a few undead & evil outsiders,
Servants of the Overlord & Spinner of Shadows has lots of evil outsiders.

Now excuse me while I wander off to arm myself with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and hunker down behind my Armored Beer Refrigerator, while I have the UFO's take control of the Congresional Wives with the help of the International Cocaine Smugglers and the Evil Geniuses for a Better Tomorrow

Magician's Assistants in Big Top are undead, are they not?

    Thanks much for the corrections.

In the end I think it boils down to:

    - Neither one dominates endgame enough to warrant specialization in it.
    - There are more evil outsiders than undead at endgame, but not by a huge margin.
    - There is only one endgame raid boss of either type, and that's an undead one.

    Well...

Lailat in epic demon queen is Evil Outsider
Lolth in caught in the web is abberation, but the other two purple named orb guardian bosses are evil outsiders.
Tower of Despair (level 20 heroic) has 5 evil outsider raid bosses.
Vision of Destruction, Hound of Xoriat and Shroud, all level 17-18 raids, have evil outsider bosses. Though the Hound is pretty trivial.

Truthful One in fall of truth is an undead dragon.
The black abbot (in lv17 raid) is a lich.

Whether you count only level 20+ raids or level 17+ raids, evil outsider raid bosses outnumber undeads. Not by much, but they do.

Generally speaking, endgame in the current game only has two raids: citw and fot. This is one of the complaints about the new xpack, that there is no new endgame raid.

    However, my guild regularly runs:

    Citw (lots)
    Fot (lots)
    VON5&6 (lots)
    ADQ1&2
    LOB
    Shroud (infrequently)
    EE Chrono (infrequently)
    MA (rarely)
    VOD (rarely)

Using my guild as an example, the raid bosses then become:

    Aberration, Giant, Undead, Dragon (lots)
    Evil Outsider, Construct
    Evil Outsiderx3 (infrequently)
    Evil Outsider, Construct (rarely)
