Our new Franchise Director hinted that Update 21 will have a tribute to a classic Forgotten Realms module.

We’ve got a great year planned for you, headed into 2014. Here are some highlights.

Update 19: The Shadowfell Conspiracy! Level cap to 28, new adventure areas in Wheloon and the Stormhorn mountains, and of course new Iconic races.
Update 20 (late 2013): Epic True Reincarnation! (We’re still gathering your feedback and input)
Update 21 (early 2014): A new threat (complete with multiple dragons), and a tribute to a classic Forgotten Realms module.
Which got me thinking about classic Forgotten Realms Modules..

    The Haunted Halls of Eveningstar?

    What are some other choices?

My best guess would be Cormyr: The Tearing of the Weave, then to come out later Shadowdale: The Scouring of the Land, and after that Anauroch: The Empire of Shade.

Makes perfect sense to me seeing as how we started out FR journey.

I'm not too familiar with old modules.

Are there any that feature several dragons? (The wording sort of implies they are separate but they could be linked)

These chain would make sense, but there is only one dragon Despayr. I do not see them having multiple dragons?

hmm, looking at the timeline of FR there arent many instances of multiple dragons except maybe the Rage of the dragons, not sure if there was a module of it though, basically a lich fused his phylactery wit a draco-mythal that caused dragons and those with dragonblood to go into a permanent rage until the lich was killed.

    at a guess :

    Ruins of Myth Drannor...

Now it can also be the whole Bloodstone Pass serie ( H1 to H4 ). I'm sure there's enough Dragons available in H4 to please everybody.
I don't remember any Dragon in Curse of the Azure Bond/Pool of Darkness/Pool of Radiance but well it's been so long...
On G-Land : Flavilandile, Blacklock, Yaelle, Millishande, Larilandile, Gildalinde, Tenalafel, and many other...

Oh, man . . . that was the first adventure of my gaming career! The others had already done two or three sessions when I was invited to join. Another guy had decided it wasn't for him, so I inherited his character:

Zack the Unforgiving, cleric of Zeus.

Keep on the Borderlands was a pretty fun module.

Others I liked were the A-series (Scourge of the Slave Lords), The Ghost Tower of Inverness, of course the GDQ series (Queen of the Spiders, which we kind of already have now), Tomb of Horrors (!!!!), White Plume Mountain, Expedition to the Barrier Peaks (the S-series was epic), and I'm sure there were others that I'm not remembering.

I'd love to play any of the above!

Probably save wolrd and watch Elminstrel and Drizzt taking all the credit.

    The essence of forgotable realms.

But with little less vile venom spewing:

While its not a module. I'd like to see eye of the beholder 2 in DDO.

BTW, anyone knows where to find version working at windows 8?

Maybe off to the bloodstone lands & castle perilous, its been a while since we've had a powerful humanoid lich to deal with & hey, he had a whole bunch of dragons too.. plus its relatively nearby geographically & sufficiently far from the sword coast so it doesn't step on Neverwinter's toes.
I don't mean to come across as unsympathetic - but I am, so I do.

Those were all awesome modules, that's for sure. The problem is, that they were set in Greyhawk, not the FR. Some of them (Against the Giants springs immediately to mind) were made into pretty good modules in NWN2. I would still like to see them in DDO, though.

When we started, World of Greyhawk was the official (only) one they had.

Also, our DM did incorporate canned modules into his own storyline. The finale of one big part of it was better than any module I ever read, and was all his own. We had a blast back in those days.

Try this link. The downloads include dosbox, which should make it run on any system.

There aren't really any classic FR modules. But oh joy, more FR content. . . That's sarcasm by the way.

Funny I didn't either, but after recently playing through them I can attest to their being loads of dragons in those games...

The Avatar Trilogy, one of the first and best campaigns for FR. Shadowdale was the first one. Basicly it was about the War of the Gods.
If you have a group with only DPS in it and are shouting "LFM, need healer and tank"; you aren't Looking for More, you're Looking for Group.
