I only use those wraps in eVON, but next time I'm in, I'll check to see whether it happens again.
Whatever is causing it, sure as heck seems to be causing random effects.

They bork just by entering and or leaving the AOE of Summer Smoke. The Icon for it does not have to be on your buff bar for them to get all borked up.

Took me a great many hours trying to track down the source and be able to reproduce with 100% reliability.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

    Aha!

The old adage about smoking leading to the degradation of personal morals which leads to borking holds true.

I suppose as long as you are the borker and not the borkee, it's easier to cope with. Either way, don't go into that cloud. It could be a troll fart and there's no way to tell until you're inside of it.

(Ok, sorry for the derail. Carry on.)

Understood, but I was, not religiously I'll admit, checking to see whether I did pass into someone's SS AoE and find it on my buff bar (before I started ranting like a lunatic over chat) during the quest remainder. I can't say that they borked because of SS or not, I can only say they did in fact bork and bork more than once they did.

I think it's more than handwraps or a specific effect on handwraps (or axes). I was testing a bunch of repeaters the other day (on a training dummy) - naked, with all skill effects turned off, in a destiny I had no points in, and the damage was inconsistent and I would see acid icons when I switched away from anything that had acid on it (or corrosive salt), I would see force damage on repeaters with zero force damage, I would see arrow from only two arrows displayed until i unequipped and requipped them, etc. Something is seriously wrong with gear switching.

I've also logged in or exited quests where I would be down 160ish mana - my wizardry item wouldn't apply after I put on and took off another gear with +mana on it, and the like. I'd have to take off all my gear and put it back (not sure if order matters, but wizardry item was last when it worked right) to fix it.

I can say so with 100% assurance. I spent a good part of 10 days trying to track it down and can reproduce 100% of the time.

    Bork!

    Default All joking aside...

Was just in the Underdark, and my wraps seem to be performing as they should. I can't recreate what happened last night.

    *edit*

Aaaand it's back. This time in GH.

    Cannot figure this out.
