    Default IN the old days

IN the old days, Turn undead was found to be useless when on elite. Unless of course you went into the quest ten levels above its level. I still practice this. Maybe turn undead has improved over the last six years.

For me, when in a party, it is best to save your turn undeads as charges for Divine Vitality to charge up other casters.

Also, Radiant Servant, now that is a cool one to have and also comes off of your Turn Undead Charges. Plus, radiant Servant actually RECHARGES.

If you raise your charisma by +2 or +4 or +6, say a cloak of Charisma +2( or +4 or +6) it will also raise your turn undead charges.

Just use a Heavy Mace of Pure Good and beat them down. Even better, use a Flaming Burst Heavy Mace of Pure Good. Or a Holy Heavy Mace of Pure Good.

You will want Battle Plate and a Battle Shield when you are 10th level or less. battle plate is level restricted and can be found at level 2 for your race only. I have yet to find any for a level 1.

I agree with the princess: actual turning is pointless.

My cleric has gone through two full lives, and has tried turn undead maybe twice ever. I don't consider turn undead as anything but charges for other, cooler abilities.

I like to use the turn undead ability from time to time. I still prefer to spend some charges with bursts, because they heal you AND damage undead at the same time, but the turn undead itself is great when you have lots of zombies / skellies / ghosts around you and you know its ging to work if you have used it already on mobs on that quest. Just throw an undead turn and most of them just vanish. Then beat the remaining with some melee weapon and you're good to go. This works better if you have Radiant Server to recharge your turn attempts.

In general, when in a new quest, I explore and see the results with a trial and error system. If I see most zombies or alike resist my turn undead attempts, I avoid using them again. And bursts always work.

I believe somewhere in the U18 update/patches they reduced the HD of undead to make them more susceptible to turning.

I think they increased the power of TU but yes, it was fairly recently.

I don't think I ever use TU after level 1 or 2. It's better to use it (the charges) on enhancements. I usually use the Enhancement that does (AoE) light damage to undead and then respec at level 6. After that, burst kill them and heal me; it's a better "bang for your buck."

I use TU a TON more now then I ever have!

Very satisfying to Turn MOBs in Madstone and FoT - and I'm still just a first lifer CLR.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

Lots of good advice but I should have stated that I solo most of the time. Most of the other abilities seem to complemen (unless I miss read) other players and not me. Since I solo so much which abilities would be best suited for that??
