    Default New to the class, 32 point light monk build, what do you think?

    EDIT: I'm only keeping the original build posted in this for reference, more current build is third post down (my second post)

    So I have a fighter I'm going to TR for a third time, and it's been my main class, but I wanted to start a new character to try something different, and I've seen how much fun people had with monk, so figured I'd give it a go!

    I have 32 point build unlocked, and I figured light monk with the super heals would be the way to go, and thought wisdom based would be a good idea. Also figured dwarf, because, why not?

    Anyway, here's the build, please let me know what you think, and if you think a particular thing should change, lemme know why! I want to know the reason x doesn't work vs y, so I can better learn the class! I rolled a lvl 4 just to poke at it, and had ALOT of fun thus far, smacking things in the face really fast has been fun xD

    Again, would really appreciate some feedback. I did some forum searching to get the build, the enhancements are what I'm having the most trouble with, want to get that improved recovery and shintao 3 and wisdom 3, but wow, didn't think it would be so hard to use enhancements, that's what I get for only playing fighter up till now I guess xD

    I would ditch all of the Lifting the Veil through Rise of the Phoenix enhancements. Mostly all they do is replicate potions and they cost valuable ki you could be using to stun opponents with. Just take Monk Recovery I-III and you will be set up for the Shintao enhancements. Rise of the Phoenix is marginally useful, but I think you would be better off grabbing a hireling and parking it somewhere, only calling it over to raise/resurrect as needed.

    I would also recommend picking one stance and maxing it out instead of taking various tiers of the other 3. Wind Stance is all-in-all and excellent choice, though Earth stance is quite nice as well. I have 2 light monks, one wind, one earth and both are very fun to play. You aren't taking Void Strike IV, so there is no point in investing anything in stances you likely won't be using. There are those that might recommend switching stances for various reasons, but I've found that just sticking with your chosen stance keeps it simple and uncomplicated. And with all the buttons a monk tends to press, simple is good.

    Here's the build I came up with based on what you said.

    Note that I still do take Void Strike I, but I can't find an alternative, everything else can't be taken because I need to spend that ONE AP to open the others. But what do you think?
