There is no endgame, so there is no need for a raid.
First, fix endgame, then, we can talk about raids there.

    I'm all for more raids.

If level cap is moving to 28, I'm sure we are getting raids for that. You can bet on those two things coinciding.

Raids are fun for me because of having more people in them than quests. The most powerful monsters in the game? Check. Some of the best players and builds in the game. Best loot. Loot, It is supposed to tempt you to run it, and has to be the best because it is among the hardest dungeons they have at cap.

Now that's an idea. I could see it as a series of mini-raids. Not every one would have to be completely innovative and groundbreaking. Just toss a pile of raids at the players. Some will be winners, others, meh. Give Commendations of Heroism as rewards in each as well as a small set of upgradable raid loot with possible overlaps in items between raids. Item X drops in raids 1 and 4. Item Y drops in raids 1 and 3, etc. in order to give players seeking specific loot a bit of variety. Even something as simple as adding Commendations of Heroism to current raids and adding another tier to existing raid loot could go a long way to keeping people interested in endgame. I noticed that in the great item pass that just happened, none of the old raid loot was upgraded with slots. This would be a chance to fix that oversight and give us something else to do at endgame.

ya that would be nice we at least need more places where we can get Commendations of Heroism, I personally do not like herding raid-bypasses for FoT but I do like them if I forgot to get the reward or a friend is leading a raid and I want to join for example.

We got a really good game here and with a few changes it can be great

They're completely handcrafted and balancing them is a lot harder than balancing solo quest content, you have to deal with all the boss scripts and AIs and unique mechanics. You have to balance all the rewards, too, which have to be good enough to make the raid appealing but not so good as to unbalance the game. And, after all that, people have little incentive to run it again once they've gotten what they wanted out of it.

I don't mind when they add new raids, but I like to see more repeatable gameplay at endgame. More gradual rewards than the "jackpot" style you get from rolling raid chests, hoping for that one weapon or upgrade piece. I'd like to see more Challenges, more quest chains, more gear from GH-like barter systems, adventure zones...all those are, I imagine, easier to produce, and give you more hours of enjoyable gameplay before you're "done" with it. Especially since they can just "Epicify" existing Heroic content.
I Love raids not for their Loot, but because all my guidlies and friends can come, and we can hang out and have fun. For many guilds, raiding is not about just getting loot...a quest only fits 6 people, with a raid, you can include more and usually not leave anyone out unless you are in a large guild where everyone happens to be on at the same time and at the same level. And when loot does drop, it's nice to see even some old time players get excited.

Just so there is no misunderstanding here:

There is NO raid in the upcoming expansion pack.

Only having 2 raids at the moment is sad (one of them really old already the other somewhat old) - and having both be outleveled with the socalled expansion is even worse.

Each expansion should include at the very least 3 raids - and at no time should there be fewer than 5 raids at the max level.

Dude what are you smoking? Most people do challenges solo because it is easier. Why would you want the scaling of 12 people? I disagree with you completely.

I personally would like to see extreme challenge quests rather than raids. The loot could be similar, but BTA. And these extreme challenge quests would require 6 people working in teamwork and balanced.

These two comments explain exactly why IMO we need a bunch more raids, and also why the lack of them is driving more and more of the people I enjoy playing with away from this game
