Except we need 3-4 new end game raids. One is a good start(they can start with the one that should have been in MotU). One in the new expansion pack.(I, and many others, will probably not buy the x-pac without one.) Then a couple more over the next couple of packs out. But, seriously, 3-4 over the next 12 months is about the minimum we need to keep folks happy.

And no more one room raids! We need to be more challenged than that. Think CitW without the "escorting the NPC" mode. I would actually love to see some randomness added to raids. Hunting down the boss, and killing minions along the way would be a blast.

honestly the game needs 2-3 new raids a year honestly. it keeps the game changing and end game or raids for various levels whatever. i know some will get ran less once their gear is considered outdated. Sometimes some of that gear is great for other raids or just tring. in a lot of other games you see them releasing numerous raids each year as well so im not seeing a reason not to do it here.

you want to challenge people do this more often. Sometimes even through in a 20man type if you really want to challenge groups. spectral dragon from mabar was sort of a start to it. sure it would mean things would probably hit harder or even have a ton of hp but hey raids are meant to be challenging and not quick imo. i enjoy when everyone is active like FOT.

I don't begrudge raiders their raids, I know they have their valid place in endgame play...but I also think raids are among the more labor-intensive and consumable content types to develop for endgame play. They're completely handcrafted and balancing them is a lot harder than balancing solo quest content, you have to deal with all the boss scripts and AIs and unique mechanics. You have to balance all the rewards, too, which have to be good enough to make the raid appealing but not so good as to unbalance the game. And, after all that, people have little incentive to run it again once they've gotten what they wanted out of it.

I don't mind when they add new raids, but I like to see more repeatable gameplay at endgame. More gradual rewards than the "jackpot" style you get from rolling raid chests, hoping for that one weapon or upgrade piece. I'd like to see more Challenges, more quest chains, more gear from GH-like barter systems, adventure zones...all those are, I imagine, easier to produce, and give you more hours of enjoyable gameplay before you're "done" with it. Especially since they can just "Epicify" existing Heroic content.

Thematically it makes no sense. We've already dispatch Sorjek in Stealer of Souls.

Change Sorjeks name to something else, whoever took over after Sorjeks demise and we are good to go! Ohhh maybe they could give the end fight some new mechanics too.

I agree that raids are a huge portion of DDO's endgame...and it doesn't quite seem like an "expansion" without that key component.

...that being said... there's plenty of "good" raids in the game. (LoB, HoX, Chrono, Titan to name a few) that have been thrown under the rug because of recent changes at the hands of Turbine. If Turbine would devote an entire update to making existing raids worth running (ie: making all raids have an epic equivalent, and the loot worth actually worth grinding 20 completions for), I would find that acceptable. It shouldn't be too labor/financially intensive for Turbine, it would make existing players happy, and might provide new players an incentive to go VIP or buy the packs.

I agree with a previous poster. It is a lot more than just "one new raid". Turbine needs to plan for at LEAST 2-3 new raids per year, not counting additional ones associated with expansions, or this game will continue to decline. Not plan to make one new one- plan to make lots more. regularly. Please.

I'd go so far as to say that we need an entire pack of half a dozen raids. You wanna pick DDO back up on its feat? Throw an arsenal of time consuming raids at us. I'd love that.

Raids are stupid. It doesn't look like many people like to run them & Turbine probably knows it. I see thread after thread saying to put better loot in these things since nobody seems to run them for fun.

People play for fun & Turbine should spend their time developing content people actually enjoy running. I know some folks actually like raids & they are welcome to run them but I'm betting most folk join in just to grab the loot.

It's pretty sad when people have to be bribed with the best treasure in the game to run something. When higher level loot came out in MOTU the same small number of folks who like raiding were yammering to make sure the treasure in the Lolth raid was better than anything else in game.

Why? Because nobody wanted to play with them.

I don't have all the loot I want from the 2 we have currently.

Raids are fun, but players expect nothing but the best loot to drop from them. What ends up happening is the raiders will stock up on raid bypass timers and grind 20 completions out on any new raid in the first month, get all the loot out of them they want, then mock, admonish and complain about others not having the items or how bored they are and don't want to run it again to help anyone else get loot. The rift between the haves and have nots, gets a little bigger.

Would rather see, long, quality 6 man quests with loot both in the end chest and as chain rewards. I like chain rewards because a) it encourages the running of the entire quest series and b) you can make the rewards a bit stronger as more is required to get them. Power games will still be able to crush the content to get what they want, but more players will have access to better loot.

Plus what kind of raid? Nearly all the types they have tried, everyone has complained about.

I'd rather see challenges get developed into 12 person quests. The two arena fights in Eveningstar would get a lot of use if they were both for 12 people.
