    Default The best server

Do anyone knows what the best (populated) DDO server is?

Changes depending on the "preferred server for new players" status in the launcher. Most populated has been Ghallanda for the longest time, now it's Cannith.

I'd recommend going Ghallanda if you like pugging, Khyber if you intend to look for a serious/dedicated guild, Wayfinder if you like to solo/listen to the crickets I have little experience with other servers.

I think upon new arrivals the lowest moving server is designated (or they just take turns). It Cannith now but apt to change. Not all new toons stay. Thers a chart somewhere but not colorblind friendly. Hmmmmm ADA act?

    No it's hardcoded somehow.

G-Land was The Server at the top of the list for months... and when pointed Cannith was moved to the top.

for all the charts and stuff : http://www.ddoracle.com/Traffic.html
On G-Land : Flavilandile, Blacklock, Yaelle, Millishande, Larilandile, Gildalinde, Tenalafel, and many other...

The chart is created for free by a DDO player, invoking the ADA against him would probably just shut the site down.

Everybody will post his personal favored server. Heck, I would even recommend Wayfinder - except there is nobody to group with. But for going solo, it´s a great server.

Anyway - just check for your playstyle / cultural background / preferences, @OP, then share with us on what you are looking for. We then better can put in recommendations. Every Server is unique in as far as every server developed a specific subculture. So there is always a better or less apropriate choice for server dependent on your personal preferences.

    Good luck and have fun.

When picking a server most important thing is:
Which time zone do you live in and what are your times you play the most at?

For example (out of my head):
Thelanis: many european player, also probably best for japanese players
Ghallanda: probably best for korean players
Sarlona: probably best for chinese players?
    Wayfinder: best for soloing only
Thelanis - Ethforged - Etherar - Fjirty --- Mitis Mors
    Ghallanda - Ethrayne - Ethryne --- Omnipresence

Someone implicitely told me that I was wrong to assume ppl on wayfinder were German so I went this week-end. And, crickets speaking, even though sometimes argo seems ghost town, man - I swear I made a double Marketplace tour without encountering anyone.

Then I went to House C and saw an artie with his dog. Voil?*.

Cannith is the best as long as you have thumbs.
The blade itself incites to deeds of violence.

Sarlona. Theres multiple newbie teaching channels.
Advocating repeated nerfs in the name of "balancing the game" then complaining about how DDO is moving away from D&D, is a direct contradiction in logic - D&D 3.5 (what DDO is based on) is not a balanced game. We can either have a balanced clone MMO with homogenized classes, or we can have a D&D game. We cant have both.
