    Default Augment Stacking... do they?

Does anyone have a clear understanding on how Augments stack.

For example let's say I have 2 items with blue slots. Can I put a +12 PRR sapphire into each slot and get +24? What if I slot +12 and +10 do I get +22?

Looking to plan out some gear here and inquiring minds need to know.

My guess is that in both cases I just get +12 (highest wins).

Bonuses (almost) never stack with bonuses of the same type--when the update hits this will, in fact, be never. Since the PRR bonuses on augments are the same type, they don't stack.

IIRC they don't stack with Sheltering items either.

I posted a similar thread a few days ago.
We have Dev confirmation on augments with identical properties stacking on weapons.
I don't see why it would be different on an item.

We have confirmation of damage augments stacking that is the difference.

correction - damage only - but others no. else people would be walking around with 100 PRR from blue slots.

And damage augments are all, technically, untyped, and therefore SHOULD stack....you don't get a 1d6 Enhancement bonus to your fire damage, you just get 1d6 fire damage. Defensive augments are all typed...PRR augments and Sheltering both give you an Enhancement bonus to PRR.

    Well thanks all.

That is pretty much how I thought it worked but figured I should make sure. Was hoping that different sizes might stack but was pretty sure that wasn't going to happen LOL>

So is it true then that those +9 Stat greensteel weapons I have (+6 base, +1 Exceptional, +2 Exceptional) are basically going to turn into +8 with the changes (biggest Exceptional winning)?

If so ... well ... Dang....

I suggest you check your greensteel again, chances are it doesn't have +2 Exceptional but +2 Insight.
They changed all +2 exceptional stat bonuses to insight with U14.
