Have tried both methods, first one went automatically to "The Product Key you entered is not valid for use. If you believe this is an error, please contact Turbine Customer Service by visiting support.turbine.com."
The second method went to a screen that said "Please review the terms and click "Submit" to confirm the upgrade." and explains what i am getting with the expansion. As soon as i accept and click submit, i get the invalid message exactly like the one I got the first try.
Have been trying for the past 2-3 days so waiting a few hours doesn't seem to work.
*I'd like to add that it was a standard edition if that matters at all
