Angry Known Issue: Game is unplayable at the moment?

That's pretty much what my take was on the most recent issue. Anyone else feel the same? what is going these days.

Little extreme, played all weekend, including some quests people said were impossible to do with this bug and never had a problem because I made sure the whole group knew about it and we made sure to kill everything in sight before touching anything.

The bug sucks but meh, it's no where near the worst one to come out.

Until a phase spider you didnt know was there materializes, interrupts your purifying an altar in Shadow Knight, and the quest breaks and you have to start over...

It might save you 50 seconds of waiting for recall timers, but costs you 15 mins of wasted questing :P

    Oh, that.

    HARDLY makes the game 'unplayable'.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

Oh, it's not that the game is unplayable...on the contrary you may just have to play quests multiple times for a completion.

This is the opposite of unplayable

Other than there is a problem with spinner, I have not found this to be the case. Ever since I heard about the recall / interrupt bug I just slow the zerg down and kill everything before I pull the switch. Even did this in fleshmakers on saturday, all you had to do is make sure to give all the ele's a party hat and it wasn't a problem. I played for probably about 12 hours broken up this weekend, and I had to repeat zero quests.

So Turbine accidentally found a concept that is more effective than Dungeon Alert? Better keep quiet or they'll let it stay.

I was thinking the same thing the entire time I was reading this thread. People are defending it too. Oh yeah, its a bug, but we can play around it, so its cool.
Advocating repeated nerfs in the name of "balancing the game" then complaining about how DDO is moving away from D&D, is a direct contradiction in logic - D&D 3.5 (what DDO is based on) is not a balanced game. We can either have a balanced clone MMO with homogenized classes, or we can have a D&D game. We cant have both.

    I fail at jokes sometimes

I too haven't had any issues with this.

It's not so much that I like the bug or want to defend it. Bugs suck period. Just don't like seeing the exaggeration of the game is unplayable. What was pretty much unplayable was when players and mobs were getting randomly stuck in walls. This feels like a ladder bug, it sucks but you can get around it easy enough. That said I hope we see a hotfix for it this week.

I just hope they realize that for every player that works around the issue, there are likely several others who question paying to play a broken game.

Default The bug is a pain

But the game is not unplayable.

I like how people have said the game is even more playable because you get to do the quest again!! I looked at it as getting more loot chances over the weekend and optional XP, just not a quest completion.

I also played a lot of the weekend and learned about the bug during that time. After that, we were careful. The zerg is slower, but you can still zerg in the straight aways.(The parts you know you can go fast and not have to trip anything)

Not getting my Robes back from the last takeaway still irks me. The problems with the last expansion and Turbine put out another expansion that has problems for the people that pre-order. I mean, it is a finite list of stuff to test for the pre-order and it still comes in messed up. Sad, very sad.

Remember back when you were the FIRST guy to tell all of us how there is no such thing as bug free software and it was unreasonable for people to complain about buggy updates when we were complaining about U14 (or there about)?

    Talk about a 180.

Hey, Chai has managed to become more enlightened about the state of the game. That is a good thing. Its OK, you can choose to do so as well. We won't judge. Really.
