[QUOTE=Cordovan;5007828]What advice do you have to help people take care of their new owlbear creature companions?[QUOTE]

Being a hybrid creature, the Owlbear occasionally has difficulties. Most notably, it has an exceedingly tiny mouth for the size of its body and its typical prey. To avoid choking your Owlbear, always insist that it mash its enemies to a fine paste before consuming them.
    I edited a book!

Thelanis player: Arekkeh, Kimberlei (heroic completionist), Lehren (heroic/epic completionist), Natheme, Terpsikhore

Be careful when around it! It has a nasty habbit of charging everywhere you go and possibly hurting someone with what large head and beak it has
    Slow player: puggers beware!

Be prepared to do some cooking. I've heard that fast food is bad for them.

In order to maintain an owlbear's friendship and loyalty, and keep their morale high:

    1) Give a hoot... don't pollute!

    2) Remember, only you can prevent forest fires! Friends of owlbears don't play with matches.

    3) Acquire and wear this costume at least once a week:

    4) Consider getting both of these images as tattoos:

    5) These make great holiday presents for owlbears:

    6) Above all else, always accept personal responsibility for maintaining the forest. After all:

    Who? Who? Who??

Don't have any. The more you have the quicker they will come out and eat your rotting corpse when you die 3' away from a chest.....

And if that chest was a Mimic, then all you have done is fed the Mimic making it stronger and harder to kill for the next unfortunate adventurer that comes that way.....

Maybe you can at least stand there in a ghostly form doing Mimery to tell that next fool that the Mimic is a Mimic.....

Keep them in separate stalls from your Gelatinous Cubelet pets.
Author of Info Blue UI Skin (Really wish Turbine would update the skinning interface and enable all the new UI parts.)
If you don't have an SSD, you should be using DDOPreload (fixes the slow first login issue)

it is best to cater to this fantasy because being the dancing pet human is better then being lunch.

There's a lot of truth to the old saying:

A kobold a day keeps the doctor away.

Use the soap to clean any insects of it's face
Get a sorcerer to cast gust of wind at the owlbear to quickly dry him.
    How to feed him:
What do you do once you owlbear goes hungry?
Feed him 2 pints of honey with a touch of field rats - This will make him love you
That's the end of this tutorial!

Feed it at least one kobold a day. That will keep it happy!
