    Default Shiradi Sworc: Battle Caster

This build is a twist on a Shiradi Sorcerer with a two handed melee element added to it. Since Shiradi Sorcerers rely on no save spells it opens up a few feats that you'd normally have on a sorcerer that are not necessary on a shiradi build.

Race is Warforged to take advantage of the repair and reconstruct spells. Air savant for knock down immunity, and wind dance. This build is good for solo or group play. Master's touch is used for martial weapon proficiency, but carrying a staff weapon for backup against debuffing beholders is recommended.

Requires: Warforged, +2 stat tome on all, and 32pt build.

The name: Shiradi for Shiradi destiny of course and Sworc a combo of Sword and Sorcerer.

While the premise of the build is valid (that you don't need DCs for a shiradi sorc), the actual play-style of a Shiradi Sorc consists of spamming low-cost magic missiles all the time. I think alternating between melee and casting MMs would be a big loss in dps and crowd control when compared to just casting.

It would do well on EH, but on EE you would be putting yourself in a lot more danger than a caster sorcerer, your saves would be too low to matter and your crowd control would be much less prevalent due to fewer magic missiles being cast.

This is true. For raids and group play i suggest Shiradi -casting only. Your gonna have other in the group with better melee dps anyways.

Played a CitW with a "melee Sorcerer" not long ago. Fair idea i guess but it had an embarrassing kill count. I'm pretty sure the Cleric (who was busy healing) had a higher kill count.

Not to mention regular evasion does no good if you don't save. This is why everyone prefers pally over monk because you get a huge advantage on all saves with the 2 pally levels. I would rather save most of the time and get half damage from a reflex save than to not save and take full damage even with evasion. Improved evasion would be better, but its just not viable on a caster build.

What save numbers would you suggest for EH and EE content?

Save numbers don't ave to be extraordinarily high for EH content - stuff doesn't hit THAT hard.

For EE - High Road and GH they need to be real high - I'm sitting at 60 Fort/56 Reflex/52 Will on my Shiradi with Ship Buffs and GH - I can get them higher with different twists, but generally this is high enough for all EE content.

EE saves over 55 seems to do OK.

That being said if you can get higher even better considering the save debuffs in FOT, etc.
