    Question Seeking advice on a TWF 18Fighter/2Rogue build...

    Hi all.

    I've been working on a TR build for my fighter. I want it to be able to solo through most of the levels; thus be able to take out traps while maintaining good DPS and reliable UMD. So this is what I came up with.

    All comments are more than welcome, thanks in advance.

    Default

    1) I see that at level 10 (rogue level), you put 2 pt in jump
    But it is also a fighter level, so it will be better at level 10 to spend point in thief-only skill

    For example, instead of having Jump +2 and search +5 at level 10,
    you put Search +7 at level 10 and at level 2-9, you remove 4 search +.5 and add twice +1 jump and you get 2 other skill points
    Of course, that means that at some level, you can be short in search during level 2-9 but you can replace search by UMD, a ksill you will not use a lot at level 2-9

    2) You will end with Open Lock skill at 8. Even with good material, this can be very low (most locks have a DC of 40-50 i think)
    So either you try to put more point in OL, or you completly discard the skill

    3) Why spreading skill point at level 1
    Skill: Haggle (+1)
    Skill: Heal (+2) (cross class)
    Skill: Intimidate (+1)
    Skill: Listen (+1)
    Skill: Move Silently (+1)
    With no more investment in those skills, none will be useful past level 4
    I would say : concentrate on 1 or 2 skill and go for +4.
    For example, Move Silently +4, with an item +x Move Silently and invisibility scroll/potion may allow you to sneak from time to time up to mid-level

    Thanks for the input.

    I tried to put skill points into the 2-3 skills until the character generator allowed no more, including at level 1. If the actual game allows me to put more skill points in the preferential skills, I will be happy to oblige .

    But I've taken good note of your valuable advice on making better use of the skill points available.
