    Default THF build request

I was wanting to return and I would like a good THF rogue build. I know its not the best would be fun and different maybe 18 rogue 2 fighter. High Pick locks, traps and umd sound fun. I mostly want this for fun and rp reasons. A elf is the race I want and falchion is what I'm going to mostly use.

I am sure people will tell you elf is "non-optimal". Ignore them, and as you say, play it for fun. But no self-respecting rogue, even strength based, would be seen dead holding a whacking great sword taller than he is.

At 18/2 F/Rog you will be a rogue with 2 extra feats and full weapons proficiency, not a fighter. (Being a fighter is all about the Kensai PRE, Cleave, and the trip/stun/sunder) As a rogue most of your damage is going to come from Sneak Attack. This procs on both hands, so THF is not a good fit. There is good general advice on multiclassing in:

If falchions are that important to you, you could go more fighter for the Kensai PRE and the Cleave line, even up to 18 fighter / 2 rogue. But you will not to have enough skill points to max out Disable Dev and Search, and at some stage they will get round to revamping the Enhancements, at which point you will feel silly.

Honestly - and I'll admit I'm not a big stat guy with DDO - I don't see why you'd take rogue with evasion and some DEX-friendly requirements, and leave TWF on the floor for THF. If it's a flavor build then fine. But if you've got an 18 lvl investment in rogue with all of the SA damage, I don't see why your preferred method of fighting would enhance all of the potential SA procs you could get.

At present, 18 levels of rogue with the SA benefits can really put you on par with any straightforward melee class, even a DEX-based finesse rogue (ohhh...I'm sure that's gonna get an angry response!).

Plus, when it comes to RP, having a dual-wielding rogue that is actually PLAYED like a rogue should be played (never running straight into battle, never really sticking your neck out, quietly scouting ahead, sneaking up behind stuff and killing it, bluff-pulling) is a complete and total blast. And it works well in DDO, believe it or not.

Presuming it's the concept you're wedded to - i.e., falchion-wielding rog / ftr elf with trap skills - and not the level split, I gonna suggest rog 8 / ftr 12 instead of mostly-rogue. Reasons being (A) mostly-rogue builds are better off w/TWF than THF for extra sneak atk dmg whereas ftr meshes better w/THF and (B) more ftr lvls means more feats, HPs, and Kensei II for more DPS. Rog 8 gets you Imp Uncanny Dodge and W&S Mastery III. You could drop to rog 7 to take a splash of wiz (take Extend to double Shadow DM duration) or barb (+10% run speed, +1 Power Atk enh). For added flavor, I would also take the Shadow DMs, because honestly there aren't a whole lotta other perks to being an elf melee these days.
