First - couple of thoughts and a summary.
I will break this into three posts - one summary, one Gold, and one Silver.
99% of the issues reported with Daily Dice have been fixed so far. I say this after rolling several hundred times on the gold side.
Items of concern were:
- items being bound to character
- value of prizes
- Visibility of rolls and prizes
- Clearer instructions about free roll
- Pet's auto inserting themselves into stable
Items still bound to character:
- Greater Crafting Experience Elixirs
All other items are now bound to account or not bound at all. This includes all other forms of crafting experience elixirs.
I did not pull the pet certificate that auto inserted itself; however did pull several others and they behaved.
I also did not pull straight plus stat tomes - but did pull one upgrade and it was still bound to account.
As to the value of the rolls.
40 of the 152 gold rolls were on the collectable list (1-25). 30 of those 40 ended up being next to valueless. The remaining 10 others either had attached astral shards and or valued items like tome or shield fragments or flawless dragon scales.
So 75% of the rolls that ended up on the collectable list were essentially worthless. I mean this because they only gave things like Swaying Mushroom Pods, Dragonshard fragments, etc.
As far as the lesser essences - if you factor in the store price and the conversion from Turbine Points to Astral Shards - the average 'winning' is just under 10 astral shards for lesser essences. This is still low since lesser essences have a very low in game value.
I strongly suggest that this be improved - at least make them rare collectables like Drowshood. Can base the value on what can be used for collectable traders etc.
What didn't bother me was the probability distribution (how often numbers came up).
I do like the inclusion of skill tomes (both straight plus and upgrade) and the new armor appearance modules. However, so far only non-warforged (non-docent) versions have appeared.
Also a big improvement was the addition (replacement for older versions maybe) of Heal over Time (HoT) pots like the Gold Seal Elixirs of Sovereign Healing.
So in closing - good job! Just a little bit longer! (OK bad Madstone joke) Just a couple more tweaks and will be excellent.
