Default Dwarven Axes Need Some Love

There is a profound lack of (cool) named Dwarven Axes in this game, and that needs to be changed. And no, just upping the base damage a bit and sticking augment slots on doesn't count. Because that's lazy, dull, and unimaginative.

Yep, but what would you suggest for them? How about one that give you a bonus to killing things other than dwarfs but adds a vicious effect when you hit one. that could be fun-ish(well flavor-wise anyway).

Na, flip it around. A mad smith driven out by his clan makes an axe to seek his vengence on all dwarves, including himself. Vicous of greater dwarf bane with slay dwarf on a vorpal, RR dwarf.

By endgame, nothing really matters except base die and crit threat/multiplier...if I was a DAxe user, I'd probably just want Metalline, Holy (for Good), 2[W] or more and 18-20/x3 or 19-20/x4. If anything else, make it a Shroud proc like Disintegrating. Anything CC is going to have a DC too low to ever matter, and any elemental damage isnt going to measure up to Shroud procs. Maybe Improved Bloodletter, if the crit profile is expanded.

    Tactician's War Axe

    2.5[d10] 20 x3 crit
    +6 weapon
    Stunning 12
    Vertigo 12
    Ex combat mastery +6
    Purple slot

Whenever you vorpal strike with this weapon, reset the timer on your stunning blow, trip and improved trip feats.

As said above, if you want a damage dealing weapon there are only so many ways to accomplish that. This weapon, while not overpowered damage wise, does give a significant advantage to players who use tactical feats. It also ties in flavor wise with dwarves who get racial bonuses to tactics as well. It also poses a question to the player. Put it in your offhand so your main hand has more damage? Or put it in the main hand so it proc's more often. I like choices.

Axe of the Dwarvish Lords. Give it Cosmic, A Thousand Suns, 4[W], 15-20 Crit Range, x4 Multiplier, and -2 Effective Level in the Hands of Any Race Other Than a Dwarf (-3 In The Hands of an Elf or Half Orc)
