Default Forum user panel, display styles, private messages?

Woohoo Finally got access to the new forums.

Am not a vbulletin expert and want to know:

    - should we or will we have access to a user control panel?
    - Is there a forum based method of changing color scheme and font style?
    - Can we/Will we be able to send private messages?

Yes. Click Settings in the upper right of the page.

Currently there the only style available is the default one and the mobile one. (See dropdown at the bottom left of the page.) There are plans to add more.

You should be able to send PMs now. (Not tested, but I can draft them.)

The Settings link in the upper right of the page offers some user control settings, and there is a private Messaging system already. At the moment, the only options supported by us for changing the forums layout is between the Community Default and the Default Mobile Style.

By settings do you mean the little grid icon in the upper right that lets me see my profile? That's very limited, I meant the complete user control panel like we had in the previous versions of vbulletin forums. I see no "settings" buttons in the upper corner of any screen.

I also still can't log into the forums directly, need to log into the community site each time I enter, I assume this will be enhanced over time?

From where do I send private messages?

I'll look for a browser based solution to my display issues then, thanks.

Thanks forummule, will check it out.

Ah, I see the grid icon is where I can access private messages. I would have edited my response above to make note of it but I can't figure out how ot edit my posts!

JJMC, the problem is, I was not getting the "Welcome, XXXYYZZ PROFILE SETTINGS" prompts in the upper righjt corner of my screen despite being logged in. I left a detailed response, or thought I had, but it doesnt appear to be here, unless I missed a "page 2" label. After I left that response I was bounced right back out to the main web site.

It may have to do with how I access the forums, or something amiss with my forum account, I'll have to reproduce it later when there is more time.

When I have time I'll screenie you so you will understand the nature of my confusion, I simply did not ever get a settings button, although I can now if I sign into the forums a very specific way (that takes many clicks.)
