Unhappy Wrong Forum name - ugh

When I first logged on, I got to select which subscription forum name I wanted to keep.

I choose the one I wanted to keep, it gave me a different one.

Guess I am forever known as Blaze44 now.

    Ugh.... time to light up

Maybe making sens would help more than having a huge post history, but that's just me heh.

On the other side, I wanted to change my forum name and am stuck with this one. There must be a way to retrieve your old forum account, it just can't disapear like that (has to be saved somewhere). So if it's important to you, i'd wait a day or 2 till the PMs flow slows down then try to work it out.

If not, be assured that I won't judge your credibility out of your number of posts

Default I lose all my rep so I can be a new poster

This is sort of like TRing, but without all the twink gear.

I tried to give everyone in this thread +1 rep but I am failing to see any notification if I did.

I will just choose to be anonymous about who or what I was in the past.

Could be worse. My old forum name was not allowed.

Turns out this is something that Turbine knows about. Skimming the forums I found reference to it earlier this afternoon. The recommended fix is to submit a trouble ticket to community/forum support. Presumably there will be fixes coming.

Yup, I can see my old posts and the name that matches them, but there's no way of proving to people that this username is me...

Same here, I want my original account name with the march 2006 join date......this really irritates me to no end. Can we swap somehow, or maybe in the future. Dev response please, it is not right to loose our join date in our signature. It isn't much, but means abit to me anyway!

The thing about this account name...

I made this one to jump on with, and give forum-mites a hard time with... hence the forum name 'blaze'...

As you can see with only 11 posts, I didn't make use of it. Guess I am too old to play a troll.

I intentionally went for the forum TR. Mostly because my old screenname was very out of date.

I as well, LeoLionxxx wasn't allowed so I had to switch to this name. However, I go back and see old posts I have made, so I know the account still exists. I want my old account back!!!

(Adding exclamations marks makes this post important)

My first forum name was no allowed so I changed to this one. Then, years later, out of the blue my acceptable name was changed back to the original. I made a new name. I log in today and I am back to the 2nd name.

    Golly

Not only could I not use my old forum name, I was even forced to lie in order to be able to post on the forums.

I had to choose a nationality (not optional), and the 2 I could choose from were US American and Canadian.

Since I had to fake stuff anyway I chose to create a new DDO account for the sake of forum posting.

Honestly, so far I'm not impressed with the forum changes.
