    Default Threnal Sequel!!!

    So here's the pitch...

The Gate has gone partially active, and Xoriat creatures are making their way through, along with a powerful field of Xoriat Madness. The players are called back to the ruins, where the dig teams have finally resolved their differences...by going mad.

The players delve into the ruins once more, seeking the means to seal the portal once and for all, before someone manages to open it completely, but things are complicated by the influence of Xoriat. While under its effects, what was ruined appears whole, Threnal in all its Xoriat-worshipping glory!

After delving through both the ruined and 'restored' areas of Threnal, the heroes gather the needed items and instructions to destroy the gate, but one of Xoriat's greatest champions has made it through, and will do all in its power to stop them from achieving their goal.

    (NO ESCORT MISSIONS!!!)

I still run Threnal when I am on a Divine life so I can heal Coyle and Blade Barrier stuff (so I hit it at 11 or 12).

This sounds cool, and would be more appealing to me than further expansion into the forgotten realms.

Sounds pretty good to me - but I'd like to see the current version of Threnal get some adjustments/upgrades/fixes first.

I'm on board with this only if Coyle turns evil and must be dispatched with extreme prejudice; that mission will simply be called "Kill Coyle" and the only thing you need to do is enter a library and kill him, to finish the mission. You will have 15 minutes to complete the task.

Then it would be the best selling pack in the entire history of DDO, by a wide margin. Also, the "Kill Coyle" mission would be run so often that the XPs would be ground down to zero on every life by a multitude of DDO players.

And you get a discount for owning the first pack, for how much of the fun of owning the first pack is sucked out of it by having Coyle in it.

    Then and only then, /signed

    No, call it "Mortal Coyle".

    Also, make the sequel epic!

    What Mem said.
Someone got it wrong. Everyone expected the Spanish Inquisition because they were required to give 30 days notice, by law.
I can be found on Orien. My more active toons are Cilon, Solstone in Your Pack, and sometimes Acroyer.

I'd play it! Especially with the "Kill Coyle" "Mortal Coyle" quest. In fact, let's make both! He's too annoying to only kill once.

Just for the lulz, maybe Coyle went insane independently of all this and is attempting to achieve immortality. Thus the quest is entitled Immortal Coyle, and the task is, of course, to prevent him from achieving his aims.

As long as it is ok to yell in the Dungeon and no monsters hear us!

I always thought it was odd that Dave and Gary made character NPCs that could yell at us, yet no monsters knew about it.

    an Oversight?

The whole thing about Coyle is the vision of the Gary and Dave trying to make us work as a group, but in DDO we already do.

Either make the AI smarter or we will just honor the vision of Gary and Dave with limited Technology for their time that they were alive. If they were still alive today I am sure that the AI would make more sense for Coyle. But for the time that this pack was made and the AI tech that was avaialbe, I guess it is ok? It is ok in some sort of wierd honorable way, even though Coyle is as dumb as a sack of wet mice!

No, let him become immortal. That way, when we toss him into the traps, or a lake, or a firepit, he'll suffer as much as we have.

Kill Coyle doesn't need xp, it could deduct xp and delete my inventory and I'd still run it to smack down that idiot.
