    Question 1st paralyzing weapon

I just got my 1st paralyzing weapon. Iwas wondering if anyone know's if once u paralyze someone if u then attack from behind if u get sneak or a backstab bonus? Of for that matter do u get a better chance with ur trip or or sunder attack's etc?

    thanks

Not to my knowledge. I believe paralysis from weapons just stops movement/attacks.

No, unfortunately, unless you were already getting sneak attack on the mob because someone else had aggro.

You can get sneak attack (as well as 50% more damage) on a mob that is stunned, held, earthgrabbed, and a few other types of crowd control, but not while paralyzed for some reason.

just as a note - you dont need to be behind something to get sneak damage. as longs as you dont have aggro you are backstabbing

Default a little search-fu goes a long way

a brief search on the Wiki yields: http://ddowiki.com/page/Paralyzing

reading the article, it would seem the answer to your question is no.

Now that I've used (plus the reply's) it for a quest i would say it dosent help with other attacks. U would think that when someone or thing is paralized they would have no defence from other attacks? Guess not.

You would think so. But in order to maintain balance that would likely lead to paralysis to only proc on crits or vorpal attacks.

FWIW, I've noticed that when my toon is paralyzed it still evades and doesn't seem any more prone to sneak attacks.

So at least it works the same both ways.

    Lol, you believe in balance!

Yeah, wish Paralysers triggered sneak attack damage like Bluff and Hold Monster, but it doesn't
