Default Juggcher - thinking of giving this a try

So I've got my ranged Jugg all geared out with everything I could want for him except the Stormreaver Pendant, eSOS, and the soul gem thing from FOT EE.

So, what to do now....well I have really enjoyed Haek's build (ranged version), and I have been playing almost strictly as a ranged toon, swapping between Needle to build up fury counter and Adrenaline, then to Pinion for Manyshot/fury or Manyshot/Adrenaline. Having 7 fucillade I find is handy, as it builds up fury fast and does so so damage while doing so.

Now, if I could only add in 10k stars. So started playing with the build planner and looking at 12arti/6monk/2ranger. This would give me 10K stars, 25% concealment from ninja spy, and an extra save for fort and reflex save. I would also lose 200 SP, and then the big loss of Reconstruction and Deadly Weapons. Reconstruct is a big one, because then I am left with only Repair Crit and Repair Serious, and of course Reconstruct scrolls (hitting for around 200). That is a major loss of self healing. But, I will basically have 10K stars, Manyshot, and Fucillade for a constant stream of projectiles. Is it worth it?

Here's what I was thinking to lesser TR into to test:

Do you think you can get your WIS high enough to make up for the loss in self sufficiency you incur? Keep in mind 10k Stars is all about the WIS.

Why not wizard as the base? You would still have access to reconstruct that way.

    Arti gets more hp,
    weapon buffs,
ranged feats as choice for class feats
    and trap skills / umd

You would probably get it to work as Wiz but not as good as Arti

Default Wis brackets for 10K stars

Yes I was wondering what the exact wisdome brackets for 10K stars are.

This build gives 26 wis with gear and ship buff (no yugo). Could probably squeeze some more but don't want to lose more dex than needed (for ref save). So it really depends on the wisdom bracket for 10K star. I remember Chai posted somewhere but I could not find it yesterday.

This build gives 26 wis with gear and ship buff (no yugo). Could probably squeeze some more but don't want to lose more dex than needed (for ref save). So it really depends on the wisdom bracket for 10K star. I remember Chai posted somewhere but I could not find it yesterday.
Iirc you want at least 40 wis to make 10k stars a worthwhile option. I think it's around 3-4% damage added (on average) per wis modifier.

I have a link to a thread with testing, it's old but I think the numbers are still valid.

Default Thanks that's the thread I was looking for

Well, after looking at that thread, looks like I will need to build this around a completionist and dump INT and CHA, which puts the build like this:

    That will give me:

WIS in mid 30's buffed with full gear (Base 22, gear +12, ship +2 Yugo +2 = 36 WIS). This should be good enough to make 10K stars worthwhile.

    STR easily in 50's (Base 28, gear +12, Ship +2, Yugo +2, Tensors +4, Titan +6)

saves in mid 50's buffed. Would help if I had 3x PL pali but only have one so healing amp will be OK but not spectacular.

All the other stats are going to be similar to jugg, working AC, etc. Trap skill should be good enough for eCasual

Or deadly weapons for that matter. This has practically nothing to do with a juggernaut. You might as well choose a primary class that offers more in the way of enhancements for bow combat. And not bother with warforged.

    This is garbage...sorry.

You HAVE TO HAVE Quickened Reconstruct.

Otherwise, you are just another archer that spams manyshot with FotW.

    You lack Deadly Weapons also.

The main point is, what do you gain by trading 4 arti lvls for 4 ranger levels?

Loss of deadly, blade barrier, spell points, all lvl 5 spells, item and clicky lvls and dps for10k stars and incorp? Dunno
    ??

    1. not trading 4 lvls of arti for ranger....you might want to actually comment on the post

    2. i have never used bladebarrier on my existing jugg....ever. not sure any do

clicky lvls are a rounding error. spell points i think 1200 are enough (its enough on my existing build). average DPS will be higher and that's the whole point.

I think you are trading DPS for survivability.

I personally don't think its an improvement.

But maybe you can make it work.

    Default build works well

Well got him all capped out.

Still using some lame gear (the PDK gloves, monk turn in eveningstar belt, etc.) but overall I'm pleased with it.

    1. The healing amp from enhancements and cocoon twist in is more than enough to replace any need for reconstruct. My own healing scrolls hit for 380 HP on myself.

    2. Having 10K stars and the monk shadow form is very nice addition. Grab sireth and go cleave if you need to build up some KI for more 10k stars. If you run out of Ki still want to range and on timer for manyshot, go fucillade. Its incredibly versatile. It is actually a lot of fun to get a master's blitz going and just 10k stars/manyshot/10k stars/fucillade then grab sireth and build up ki for another couple 10k stars. With a max'd out blitz the DPS is high and sustainable and with so much ranged focus you don't get hit much.

    3. Fury, LD and Primal Avatar are ALL fun to play in if you want to change it up a bit, and you can pick the best one for the quest considering number/types of mobs, etc. Twisting in double rainbow/prism for Fury most of the time, or sense weakness/primal scream in LD most of the time depending if I want to range or melee mostly in a particular run. If I want more survivability for EE FOT or something twist in saves and energy sheath and cocoon, etc.).

I'm sticking with the build for a while, till it gets boring

Now time to TR Doof my first ranged jugg into something else.

No recon, no deadly, what's the point of being warforged if you devote so MUCH gear for "fleshie" hjealing ?
Besides, being VERY generous here : 110*1.75 mastery*1.1monk*1.2*1.3*1.1*0.8 HF3 = 290, how are you getting 380 ? I know sm4 scroll from bard/rog hjeals very well geared fleshie tank for ~ 500, that's why the number seems so high on a toaster.

Well here is what I like about the build:

    1. Faster base run speed than jugg (monk 6 lvls). This means i get hit a bit less and kite more effectively.

    2. Incorporeal form from monk ninja spy. This means i get hit less.

    3. 11% dodge in water stance (with only one dodge item being +3%, could get dodge higher if needed). This means i get hit less as well.

    4. Repair Critical hits for around 100. With all the permanent mem'd repair spells it is more than enough to use all of these in combo to spot repair, combined with cocoon. So yes there is a big payback in investment on self healing and self repair. WF also gives +25% fort, the extra CON at char creation allows stat points to be spread out and still hit the epic toughness requirement, and the bonus to will and fort saves from enhancements, etc. So I do like WF for this build. A guildie wants to try it fleshie, I'm not so sure it will work as well as stat points will be spread even thinner and the self healing aspect will be ONLY cocoon and scrolls. WF also let's you use toughen and reinforce construct, which are minor buffs but hey, it all adds up and I use these constantly.

    5. I never have to drink pots. On my other Jugg, I would have to chugg a pot now and again. I don't seem to need pots on this toon ever except in very rare circumstances. I have not figured out why because he has less SP than my jugg.

Things I don't like about it:

    1. Pretty much have to stay centered to build and retain KI for Shadow Fade and `10k stars. I like using cleaver for the crowd control aspect of limbchopper on mobs, and i still do sometimes. If you like staves only it would be great.

    2. Lower PRR. Pretty much the only PRR gonna get is a blue augment. I don't have the gear yet so have no PRR. So its the extra dodge and shadow fade vs. PRR tradeoff.

    3. No precision. I have contemplated dropping completionist feat for precision.

Well here is a screenshot of me casting a heal scroll on myself

Here is the final build: Again still missing several gear pcs but working on that.
