Well I may be a bit biased, being a Hunter of the Dead and all.... My vote is Delera.

Anything but Carnival is okay with me though.

Seconded, I don't have Carnival and don't like it, except the one time I ran it with DBF!!

I'm fine skipping Carnival. It would be too easy for us now anyway. Considering how easy Bloody Crypt was on hard, we should probably only be looking at quests that are base level 6 and higher now that we are all level 7-8.

Delera's would be good. Blood tide is pretty fun. Sorrow Dusk is OK. I just don't know what everyone has.

I like all of the above.

Is there a bug with Undying Call?
Twice now I've tried to use it and it doesn't work.
The first time, we took the character to a Shrine and I tried to raise him, but he rez'd at the same time so I don't know what worked.
    Anyway, the cooldown started.

I didn't see anything about it here.

There is also a player-created thread of bugs not in the known-issues list I saw the other day, I will see if I can find it.

Found that other thread, but didn't see anything about Undying Call on it:

    Default Necropolis 1 scarabs

    Guys,

Not sure who made it through all the necropolis 1 quests, but if any of you have all five scarabs you can grind them into powder at the Stone of Change by the bank in the market place and then turn the scarab powder into Squire Rale in the Necropolis (he's behind the Silver Flame guy).

For the scarab powder turn in you get your choice of one of the following:

    Lumric's Longbow

Touch of the Silver Flame Trinket

Signal of the Silver Flame Trinket

If anyone is missing one of the scarabs I've got one of each on either Cadrod or Mansoor (I was switching between them for those quests).

I think the bow would be good for Narcene and the Signal would be good for Percy and Jed.

Effect: This will increase the total number of Turn Undead attempts you can use. However, these additional Turn Undead attempts will only take effect after the wielder rests.

The increase is usually 2 Turn Undeads. If you unequip the item you will lose these turns.
    Only good if we shrine.

Default Longbow is too long for me...

unless I take a feat, or ranger levels. I really didn't want to do the TWF halfling, cause I already have one.

The +20 heart is your opportunity to rebuild. Just try to keep your starting stats as you rolled them originally. Since the new enhancement pass, our rule of being within 2 levels on a multi class is not so bad as it used to be. Ranger/Rogue halfling built for trapping and ranged attack might be quite do-able. I think you are L7 right now? A Rogue4/Ranger3 would be nice, since you can bump your search/spot on ranger levels and keep up with trapping on your rogue levels.

No reason you can't stick to short bows is there? Or use throwers.

Default Nice thing about the new loot

Although it looks like the new loot tables aren't dropping lacerating items or other cool suffixes these days (possibly temporary from what the Turbine posts have indicated), the nice thing about the new loot tables is that death block and fortification items are a LOT more abundant.

So that is actually very good news for us.

Yep, and fort is available on more than belts/rings. I know I've seen it on bracers, maybe other stuff too. And the percentages are no longer 25/75/100. I've seen everything from 20% to 105%.

Well as of on/around 4:30PM EST DDO began experiencing "network" issues again where people could not log in (stuck on "Installing pre-reqs") or actually got booted from the game during instance changes and could not get back in. As of this writing (6:06PM EST) the problem still exists. LOTRO is also affected.

Not sure if this will be fixed in time for our session tonight.

    Default Rogue/ranger split...

Spent some time with the enhancement tree pdf and Ron's char planner for feats and sketched this out. 50/50 split; feats by level would be Toughness(1); Favored Enemy(2); Point Blank Shot(3); Precision(6); Manyshot(9); Favored Enemy(10); Mental Toughness(12) Gtr 2 Wep Fighting(15);???. I have 8 skill points on Ranger, enough to keep Heal, Hide; Move Silent, Spot, Search, and Disable up to full. Bluff, Balance, Unlock, Jump will fall back a bit. UMD is something I always dither over, I don't think it will make a huge difference in this group so its out. (Standard rogues SHOULD take UMD) Ranger gives me a wider weapon selection and free Two Weapon Fighting. There are attractive enhancements in Deepwood Stalker; some sneak attack and improved healing. Halfling will give me Luck, Stealth and Cunning/Guile. This gets me to around level 12-15. Coments, questions, advice all welcome.

You might reconsider toughness, since it is no longer a pre-req for any enhancements, and at L8 only nets you 10HP. You might consider dodge, especially with all the dodge items out there now, if you can get dodge to around 10% that's a lot of survivability. I also question Mental Toughness, as a ranger you don't generally run out of blue just using a couple low level spells. You could grab a Khopesh proficiency, the dps is noticeable. Or since you want to be more "ranged" specc'ed you could take Improved Critical - Ranged when you BAB gets to +8.

8:35 PM EST. It ain't fixed.

In my opinion, the usual flavor and richness of my beer is lacking, in the present absence of the laughter and the companionship of fellow adventurers. I'm giving up on this evening, and hope things work as designed next week. See y'all 'round!
