What I think is missing at the moment is a means to get some weapon/armour blanks for crafting purposes, for example:

    • Alchemical Silver Weapons
    • Cold Iron Weapons (can buy Annointed ones but last I checked they don't work for crafting????)
    • Adamantine Weapons
    • Byeshk Weapons
    • Adamantine Armour
    • Adamantine Shields
    • Mithril Armour
    • Mithril Shields

    As for the Augment Costs:
3/2/1 is fine for a random Augment
30/10/5 is too expensive even for specific Augment, and ridiculous for a random item you may not ever want.

Please restore/add the original collection rewards. It was nice to be able to get a lesser kobold-bane or lesser undead-bane weapon from turning in ONE rare collectable. 3 commons for vendor trash was at least worth it for low level characters. The current system sucks [sorry, can't think of a polite way to phrase it!] both in the quantity of collectables required and quality of the rewards given.

Knock all of the effects down a tier, and add more slot varieties to random non-weapon/armor gear, and then maybe they'll be something that needs to be "managed".

The barter system is great. The collectors didn't need it though. At least not before the stones of change, the altar of epic rituals, and the guy in Zawabi's Refuge who takes your gems from the mine adventure. And those technically constrained costs need to come waaaaaayyyyyy the heck down. To like 1/10th of what they are. Or you need to up the drop rate on collectibles to *10 what they are.

Shoot, I haven't checked out the guy who gave the cure wands. Those are not on the list? That's bogus.

    Default Return the old exchanges

While I like moving to a Barter interface for each of the various traders in game, completely throwing out the trades that were there prior to introducing the Barter interface is bogus. As far as I can tell, none of the collectors offer more than 1 item that they offered in the old system (at an exorbitantly increased price), while most offer none of the old items at any price. Please bring back the old trades into the Barter system. If not, I'll just dump out my collectable bags and get rid of them except for Cannith crafting ingredients. The new trades hold no interest at all for me, particularly at their current prices.

Already said how horridly vomitous this is but I've participated in enough Let Tallk and Feedback threads to know they mean "Lets pretend to listen but do nothing until we can distract them with something else."

The last 2 weeks have had 70 less hours logged on to DDO time for me. I miss the game and people therein but Zynga shards trigger my gag reflex.

Just like you did with challenge xp?

Is it a coinicidence that with the update, gems started dropping like cow pies - did anyone else buy a bigger gem bag?

Now you need to gather way more collectables than ever before - causing the need for larger collectable bags.

This was a "Sell more bags and sell more shards" update the way I see it.

Also I haven't checked, but it sounds like the cure wands and potions are either gone or harder to get. Can you still get xp potions for eberron dragonshards, or will those be only store bought now too?

I agree. If it's random, it needs to be cheap. Also, there needs to be a cheap option for new F2P players. A new player doesn't have collectibles saved up, but they should be able to use the system.

It feels snarky to even explain this, but the pricing should be...either cheap but very grindy/repetitive in some way (accomplished by making it random) or expensive but quick (accomplished by paying TP/shards).

Too expensive for the free version to be used is upside-down, and as has already been expressed in multiple threads, just breeds resentment.

    Did someone say something?
    • Epic Shards/Seals for legacy Epic items.
    • Soul Gems (assuming Soul Gems get useful at some point)
    • Siberys Dragon Shards (Feat Exchange ones)
    • Other Ingredients
      • Shroud Ingredients / Essence of Cleansing / Yellow Dopant?
      • Dragon Scales?
      • Crafting Essences?
      • Elven/Dragon/Giant Relics?
    • Commendations?
    • Raid Timer Bypass
    • Astral Shards?
    • Teleport Rod
    • Hearts of Wood?
    • Ham
    • Guest Passes

    Just a few ideas.

    Both constructive lists of suggestions.

I agree 3/2/1 at MOST for random augments, and I'm hesitant about fully agreeing because I don't see F2P or new players being able to get useful augments out of this system.

The rare ingredients should be traded for rare items. Augments are not rare. They're in fact disgustingly common (which is probably good to help people fill in all their new slotted gear).

A rare item is gear made from a special material, an already crunched dragon shard/soul gem, those hams people are so fond of, etc.

Note: The turn-in cost of collectibles is still out-of-whack. Has been for more than 2 years.

    And obligatory thread necromancy.
