Joined a pug Fall of truth raid on Epic Hard after the last update completed and was surprised by the changes to Stormreaver (The note mentioned "The Stormreaver's lightning bomb attack now works as intended").
Once the Stormreaver was controlled by the Truthful one, all hell broke lose, and everyone was hit by a massive AOE lightning attack that came from the Stormreaver, the damage range from 300-1k+.
There is a countdown to the lightning bomb, you can see the countdown on the display screen, its about 5 secs before it hits. PLIS helps to negate it taking about 2-3 charges of it away (if I saw it correctly). Having an electric absorption item would help tremendously too (e.g. Djinn ring or crafted ones).
The pug party I was in wiped twice and on the 3rd try, my evasive toon was assigned to kite the Stormreaver away from the party, a good spot to kite him was at 10am corner of the raid. Making him face the wall so that the lightning bomb would mostly hit against said wall.
That worked well while someone was assigned to tank the Truthful one at 5pm of the map as the party worked to bring him down.
Another major surprise was that even though at the start, we killed the first 2 pairs of giants/dragons and destroyed the crystal before killing the last pair, the 3 ghostly dragons STILL spawned to cause us grief. That nearly wiped us until the caster in our party kited them around giving us some leeway to recover.
We had one healer dedicated to healing the Stormreaver kiter, while the caster on the ghostly dragons could heal himself somewhat, so our last healer was looking after the people DPSing the Truthful one. It was just sufficient enough to get the job done on EH and we finally completed.
The above is my impression of the changes to the Fall of truth raid on Epic hard, I don't know how its like on Epic Elite and can only imagine that this suppose new changes would lead to more chaos on that highest difficulty.
Lastly, I do not know if it is WAI that the 3 ghostly dragons appear even though we knocked out the crystal before killing the last pair of giant/dragon, am not sure now how to avoid spawning them altogether, if anyone can enlighten me on this would be much appreciate.
Other then that I am on the fence on what these new changes bring to the table, on one end it can be said to make the raid more challenging and fun, but at the same time it means that a pug party forming for it must be well prepared or suffer continuous wipes.
