Default Which Classes Are "Must Haves" for Your 4-Player Group?

Premise: You are building your "dream team" static group which will be leveling 1st life no-twink characters from 1-25.

Which classes are your 'must haves' for your ideal 4-person static group? Include class/class splits, race, prestige, and build name (if there is one).

CC Drow wizard? Half-Orc THF barb? WF Arti/pal Juggernaut? Half-elf Monkcher? How do you fill the roster spots?:

    1 - Cleric (obvious)
    2 - Rogue (traps etc)
    3 - Wizard (high DC casting/CC)
4 - Paladin (for those situations where you just absolutely need a tank)

This is imo the most rounded four man group but really the most effective would be...

    1 - WF Sorc
    2 - WF Sorc
    3 - WF Sorc
    4 - WF Sorc

For the first two years I played this game, I spent a lot of time questing in a static group with two real-life friends... That's the absolute best, walking into a dungeon for the first time with a group where no one knows what is going to happen... a lot like PnP.

    I miss those guys.

There was only 3 of us, and we did very well with the following group.

    Dwarf barbarian
    Human cleric
    Drow bard/rogue (me)

I think the main thing for a good solid adventuring group is to have someone who can heal, someone who handle traps, someone who can buff (haste is especially nice - back then I also kept all 3 of us displaced all the time)

So for a 4-person group... I'd either add a wizard to the above, or maybe another melee type.

I think a bard/rogue is especially useful in the 1-20 game for a small group. Healing, buffing, and traps all in one package.

Everyone has their preferences. Mine are for the classics. For instance, if this were extended to six people, I'd say...

    Human Male Ranger
    Human Male Barbarian
    Human Male Cavalier Fighter
    Human Female Rogue Acrobat
    Human Male Wizard
    Human Female Thief
The Barbarian would have a pet baby unicorn.

    I loved that cartoon!

And I was frankly sickened by DDO's treatment of those characters in Fear Factory!

    1 - tukaw (16/2/2 sorc/pal/monk)

    2 - juggernaut (16/2/2 arti/pal/monk)

3 - helf monkcher with AA prolly 12/6/2 fighter for some feats isn't bad idea

4 - bardcher with AA and some cc/buff prolly 12/6/2 fighter for some feats isn't bad idea

all selfhealing, all will generate aggro enough to make bosses mad moving around the place, tukaw and bardcher can cc in norm diff, none is sp dependant(only for healing), your trapper has evasion and all have massive AOE damage

if last 2 slots are for hires: jugg and bardcher pick augment summoning and use melee hires (bar + pally or barb + fighter) lol
psykopeta - hoarding pl, for the sake of hoarding, the day i become ubercompletionist will be because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS i'm not a pro, maybe if i reincarnate in RL...
