    Default Monkcher Splits

Getting ready to TR my 3pl Barbarian as I do not play him much anymore. Decided he is going monkcher and have a question on the splits. I was def going 12 monk / 6 ranger / 2? Either gonna be Rogue for SA trap skill and UMD or Paladin for saves. Any thoughts?

Oh forgot to mention...I mainly run EEs. Looking for solo capable, but will likely group up with friends frequently.

Naturally it'll have to be an elf or half elf.. in which case half elf with either rogue dilly for sneak attack damage or cleric for the no-UMD scroll & wand use would be your best bets IMO - personally, i went with the cleric dilly & for the last 2 levels i picked fighter to get bonus feats plus an extra toughness enhancement, however rogue levels for trap skills are a good bet too... 2 artificer levels could be an interesting choice too, letting you trade off the 1d6 sneak attack from rogue for +1 caster level & better UMD on scrolls.

I don't mean to come across as unsympathetic - but I am, so I do.

Typical splashes on monk 12 / rgr 6 monkchers: ftr 2 for 2 extra feats, Haste Boost I, +1 STR; arty 2 for UMD, AA pre-req, W&S Mastery I; rog 2 for 1d6+3 SA, UMD, W&S Mastery I; pally 2 is less common, but if you're really focused on EEs and need the boost to saves, it makes sense.
