    Default Lag.

    Turbine. FIX your damn servers.

abbot raid (i2052) wiped due to lag, and when i say lag - i mean utterly cripling no one can move or do any thing.

lag experienced by ALL party memebers.

we the players are getting sick of this, very common occurance.

We already dump 'bad instances', restart our clients and all other kinds of preventative measures.

Its funy how it strikes raids more than quests, its funny how its prevalent at the weekend....

During this lag I did a packet trace - the problem is at your end and whats more we (the players) can prove it.

    FIX IT.

Confirmed, was in the raid too and we had two lots of brutal lag. One elite Abbot lag-wipe later, lots of unhappy gamers...

    Was there as well.

The Abbot was even at 5% when we wiped, but there was nothing we could do.

Back in for hard abbot, and again, we could not move in puzzles.

So we dusted our selves off... and went back in

(i199 this time - which is prety weird for abbot)

guess what.... SAME THING! Lag wiped again.

Turbine your game is becoming unplayable. Were all taking a break for an hour or so - When your regular die hard vet raiding comunity is giving up because the game is unplayable you have a serious problem.

Are you sure it wasn't all 12 of the raiding groups computers acting up? I mean, east coast, central, west coast United States, and also the UK, they all would have the same isp to blame right? Surely it is Turbine's issue, or the company that does the routing right, it is ALL the players, at the exact same time.

Lag has gotten really bad since the Cove started up. I would have taken the week off DDO but I need some things from the Cove

updating this with my conclusions from the end of our raid night.

we did fall of truth a grand total of 5 times....

well 4 lag wipes, and finaly a success.

We ended up having to wait till the cove was closed before we could complete this raid - and even then there was some minor lag.

We also snuck un a successful abbot too.

Its a sad truth but over half of our play time on our scheduled raid night was ruined by soul crushing game wrecking lag.

I was not in any of their raids, but, I also experience several episodes of raid stopping, quest stopping, unable-to-hit-or-heal lag yesterday(Saturday). I had two guildies stuck in Eveningstar public instance for over 15 minutes unable to move.

This is not limited to one raid. It is not limited to one location. It is not limited to any set group of people. It is not limited to anything except THE WHOLE SERVER.

I still have to meet somebody here in Orien who doesn't know what lag wipe, crippling or frozen lag is.

This performance issues are SO frustrating.

    Dear Turbine:

I would happily donate my services as a guinea pig with cranked up logging, symbols, custom-built "troubleshooting client," or whatever else if it would help your systems team identify root sources of these crippling performance isssues. I am at your service, if you are willing and can engineer it.

    Respectfully,

Nah Bigol mate, the server wiped you because you didn't have me in the run.
It knew you wouldn't be able to complete without a WholeFrog (not just a half a frog!!) in the group

But yeah been having the same thing, guildy an I were running Weapon shipment for a bubble, both froze up and died, and we both checked our logs. Killed by 464 points of acid damage (after 30 removed) from ACID RAIN!!

    Had it in Cove (died)
    Had it in Sins (survived)
Had it at the start of New Invasion (rested, recalled, reset as we had i2049)

I could go on, but the lag in the harbor, marketplace, House K etc, at times are horrendous

Firstly *Hugs* to all my fellow lag wipe comrades. *** Possible humour with maybe just a point or three in there somewhere.*** I do have a theory about the lag monster, which seems to come and pounce during special events. I think the special event might eat up the server CPU when it opens and the lag monster really has to come out in order to stop the server crashing completely... so you could say the lag monster is the server's self defense mechanism. Now, what we players need is a real lag beater but before we can get that I think perhaps we need help from the Lag Beater's Guild, which is full of Hamsters giving the servers more power, or perhaps better communication with the outside world because sometimes messages get trapped by the lag monster when the servers prove to be so very popular. Being popular is what it's about right? Oh and having fun.

This has been going on for a week now. CitW, FoT all get the party wide lag freeze for 10+ minutes. Any Instance from 2049 - 2052 on FoT. And 129, and another 100's Instance for CitW. Those were my last 4 raid attempts.

The 129 Instance for CitW was severe. We Lag wiped twice, reformed, and then Lagged, again. But It lasted for basically Infi. I recalled, got stuck in Cavern.... Teleport out of Cavern into Market, got stuck in Market.. Turns out Re-logging worked.

Yup, same. 1920 EST, Gianthold, crippling lag/cleanup old connection stall when relogging for about ten minutes.

Good to see that the hotfix which was supposed to largely reduce the server lag has done such a good job... oh... wait... heh.
