Default Epic Elite Crucible Solo (Multiboxed for Extra Chest Pulls)

Was not super difficult, just very long and very mana consuming, all the re-entries were for sp. The end bosses take forever and have over 100k hp each, had to recall for sp several times during that part.

The swim actualy was not that difficult, the traps do about 300 damage so I can take around 3 hits before dying. Reminded me of when I had to do the swim when I was running crucible on my TR at level, I though the traps would 1 shot me but they didn't.

All characters were logged off the entire time however I did have to log on my bard to get the levers in the maze and for the rune wheel, but besides that all characters were logged off the entire time until the end to loot in order to help with lag, scaling, and confusion. No named items were pulled, just a lot of relics.

Took around 90 minutes to complete (the quest completion said 8 minutes so it was bugged), however I am very confident that after some more runs I will be able to run it without problems in under 60 minutes (and perhaps even less, but I think do to the nature of the quest it will take at least 40-45 minutes a run on epic elite solo). This was my first run after-all.

    Nice, gratz.

How do you do the part with running through gazilion traps to get the horn, with no evasion btw ?

    Wondering that myself.

I also don't see the screen of the bottom exp-report to show re-entries and deaths.

You can see reentries on top too. It says he had 5, but he said it himself that he reentered a couple times for SP. Im assuming those reentries were just to refill SP, not to swap destiny to lets say Shadowdancer, to get Evasion for the traps part?

I was more concerned about deaths actually but now that you make me think about it, that is a plan too. All the twist filled with +Ref and SD for traps could be a plan but I'm not sure it would be enough.

I wanted to see re-entries even for some other reason. He could have just loaded a Rog, done the part, logged off and gg. Just speculating, hope he offers more details

Thou I guess even if he did it, the exp report couldn't show it. No mobs killed, he wouldn't have re-entried (?) with the Rog etc etc.

Oh, comon. Lets not claim that he cheated from the beggining. Its true that there are many different possible scenarios. I know from the experiance that its pretty much impossible to prove that you didnt cheat, if someone has his mind set this way. Someone can always claim that he knows of some exploit and say that you definitely used it.
I was just really curious how to do that traps corridor part with no evasion (no hidden meaning to it). I ve seen the underwater part done without it, but never the corridor.

While I was soling it, I just jumped through (with air savant, you can easily get to the horn without getting hit) and DDoored out as I picked up the horn. One use of flyby attack would be sufficient to do this, and I'd assume that's what he did.

Zonixx, good job on kiting bosses about 2-3 times as long as I had to on my EE solo. :P

    I was just speculating

I guess it can be done with the SD trick but I'm not sure it can be done without evasion but he didn't mention any ED switch.

Thats the easiest part. To get to through the door the first time, you can run in, then out of the zone and repull the lever as soon as it lets you. This tends to make the traps go away for the 2nd pull. Propulsion boots would also let you easily bypass these first set of traps and the second set are easier to time.

Once you get to the horn, you toss up a ddoor, grab the horn and hit the ddoor right away. Thats how I usually do it at level on elite when TRing, I assume theres no mechanism to block a ddoor on epic elite.

Getting to the horn is doable without getting hit at all? Well I guess I never tried hard enough because I can't seem to be able to do it. Props then

Heh, I guess all those replies about how to do the trap corridor with no evasion just show how little I know about this quest. I always hated running Crucible and I probably still do. Thanks for replies .

Just have 40 jump and any sort of abundant step (one use is fine, so cannith boots work), along with DDoor.

I didn't even know about the part Lithic said, but if you wait until the blades are near the stairs on the right, you can jump past them, run through, and abundant step when you're in the room opposite the shrine (assuming the blade traps aren't in the way). If you screw it up slightly, you should only take ~400 damage, though.

Worst part for me (other than 10 minutes or so worth of end fight) was doing the swim without knowing if my save was high enough (58 was a success on a 2 for me, though...and the bracers from the same quest make it a cinch - bought the EH pair of the AH for ~500k plat just for that :P).

Knowing tricks like this, though (how to run through parts without caring - on heroic elite, you can actually easily do this without the DDoor as long as you can survive getting hit by the traps up to 2 times). :P In all honesty, if you've got the resources (pots, mainly - I had to use several) or are willing to recall and can solo this quest on Heroic Elite, it's not TOO bad on EE...except for that nasty end fight.

Zonixx, I have to ask...did you have your alt accounts logged out for that, and if so did it take the bosses down to normal HP for soloing? If so, I'm going to start dual-boxing this quest (I can't do 6-box, my computer would die). Didn't think of that in my earlier post in this thread, but if so, dual-boxing may be the solution to my solo-no-loot-pull-woes. I don't really know how scaling works with people coming in then disconnecting or the like, so I have to ask.

Im not Zonixx, but as far as I know the scaling works like this:

Everytime mobs spawn, the game checks how many online players you have inside the quest and adjusts the HP and stuff. I dont know about your server but on Orien its common to wait till the last boss in eDA spawns to invite people for free loot. After he already popped, he wont scale anymore even if 5 other people step in the quest.

I'm not sure about the on spawn part. At least with hirelings, I have dismissed a hireling in the middle of a battle and seen the mobs max hit points drop immediately. (Another possibility is it scales down but not up?)

    Default Nice job again Zonixx

I'd also like to note that Zonixx wears a cool cage helm, at least last time I saw him. And most know that I really champion wearing lootgen helms, heh.

    GJ dude.

When the guild did our EE crucible a while back, the end bosses were over 175k hp each with a full group. Absolutely astounding!
